I know you conservatives say Thomas Jefferson was a raving liberal. Because he supported things like tolerance and the separation of church and state. And you're right. He was a radical. For example, in 1779 in the Virginia Assembly, he wrote Bill 64. And it was way too tolerant. Sheez! It said: "Whosoever shall be guilty of Rape, Polygamy, or Sodomy with man or woman shall be punished, if a man, by castration, if a woman, by cutting thro' the cartilage of her nose a hole of one half diameter at the least." What? Just castration? No dismembering? The guy was a jerk.
Jefferson was the only poetic one among the bunch, he could actually read and write so, of course, he was liberal by definition.
