Jefferson Airplane

I saw J. Airplane in the movie about the Monterey pop festival and the movie Woodstock. I know the cover version of Summertime blues by Blue cheer

 

Grace has such a powerful and amazing voice

 

As far as 60s psychedelic pop goes they’re one of my favourites, only beat by The Doors and Love.

 

After Bathing at Baxter's and Crown of Creation are two of the greatest ROCK N ROLL albums of all time to be passed down through history as a testament to the sheer sonic impression made by subversive schizophonics

Doesn't she though. Fantastic to hear and watch.

 

Jefferson Airplane really embodied the spirit of the 1960s. Their rebellious nature totally fit the movement of the time.

Never saw them but I did see the early version of Jefferson Starship. While they were technically a better band than Airplane they seemed to lack direction, until Kantner, Slick and Balin felt they were selling out and left, making the remaining members rename it as just Starship. And so it goes, nothing lasts forever.

 

Somebody mentioned Blue Cheer-always liked this one.

 

I've been kind of stuck on the Doors lately....maybe it's time for a switch..

 

Hot Tuna was a good band, strange that they never had a hit song.

 

Yes, still together after all these years. Supposedly on their final tour.

 

ya know After Bathing at Baxter's & Crown of Creation are two of the greatest rocknroll albums ever produced. absolute terror!!
