Firefly was the extremely short-lived TV series in 2002. Serenity was the movie made after the TV series ended. She played exactly the type of woman I'm most attracted to: Beautiful, complex, amazing, and psychologically damaged. I am such a sick puppy...

 

I like girls who have the confidence to walk up, grab you by the shirt and kiss you in public like you would in bed. That is just fucking awesome when it happens...sadly though its pretty rare..

 

A girl with the courage of her convictions can do this so much more easily than a guy can. The problem is that most girls are too fucked in the head to understand how much power they have at their command.

Granted, Glen...it's just that I'll wager the vast majority of the women who do this kind of shit are kidding themselves about their own role in the process...they think of themselves as "victims" who need to be "compensated."

Convenient, innit?

I know a woman who manipulated and incited her husband to acts that she could use to get a restraining order against him - and then pretended to be the "victim." She was just a very clever player.

Women are genetically more capable than men in games like this.

 

That's pretty par for the course in bad relationships.

 

At the same time there are women who try to maintain behavioral integrity in spite of their feelings. My first wife was one of them, and no matter what my personal feelings about our relationship, this is one thing I will always respect her for - among many others.

 

You must have had a level-headed first wife. That's the kind of thing I was talking about in that thread asking if you'd rather have your heart broken or if you'd rather do the heartbreaking. . . I was like "why? neither of those things have to happen if you choose level-headed people to have relationships with."
