Janis Joplin was a soulful, powerhouse performer of a calibre the Britneys, and all these other popsters, can only dream about. I really do pity anyone who cannot see the gulf between them! :sunglasse

Norah Jones is pretty sweet though, but I still wouldn't compare her to Janis.

Janis Joplin is my favourite lady of rock 'n' roll. I think her best is on Cheap Thrills. She had more soul than Ray fuckin Charles (I love him too) and her voice is probably the best I've heard

 

I dunno about CD's... I heard her on AM radio. Do yourself a favor. Don't buy the new remixes. Go to a Record Store usually near a Uni somewhere. OLD records. Buy those.
