This dog is like a ninja though... There have been plenty of times where i've been eating my food, and he has dove on me and snatches a good amount then runs off with it you can't eat with this creature in the room...

He'll act as if he doesn't even want it, only looking at you out of the corner of his eye... then the second you look away, at the TV, or computer, or anything... BAM.. half your plate is gone, i've never seen anything eat so fast before lol..

I always like to smoke before I eat... But i don't like to smoke before I cook because then i'll mess it up.. so i cook, put it aside, smoke, and thats usually when he comes in for the attack and steals all my food lol

You know how much that sucks? When you're baked, thinking of this food, then you get the munchies.. and you come back, and its GONE!?

Its like... soul destroying...

 

you could look into the BARF diet for your dog. Bones And Raw Food. most people raise rabbits for the purpose. get a cake carrier in the meantime (or just a big stainless steel bowl) and turn it over on your food so hes not as likely to be tempted.

i love to cook high. usually i bake stuff

who here has read 1984? did you have to read it in school? i read it after high school, no one ever required me to read it. i feel like its a book everyone should read at least once.

Was never required reading for me. I've read Lord Of The Flies... Which I believe is an awesome read

So Saturday I woke up at 6:30am... Took the dog to the vet to be boarded for 5 days while I was visiting my girlfriend in StL... Went to work at 8am.. and was done by 2pm... Got home... Showered... Got the last few things I needed to throw in the car as I had packed my car the night before to make time after work... Was on the road by 3~.... Got as far as Iowa City and got a cheap ass hotel...

Woke up that morning... Drove to Walmart... Bought my IA fishing license as we were planning on spending a night in the StL area then leave in the morning and heading back to Iowa to spend 2 nights in a Cabin... I get down there finally :love:... We go check out Historic Downtown in St. Charles... Then went to Cabela's :2thumbsup:... And ate Steak N Shake.. Which is the BOMB! Love me some SNS! Get back to the hotel room... ... That morning she had class and I was going to check out this fly shop in the city...

Wake up early and I know I need to get ice for the cooler in my car... I go to my car to drive over to the store and I get half way through the parking lot and all of a sudden there is resistance and I can feel one of my tires dragging... Get pulled into a parking spot and was like ... Not knowing what to fucking do I let the ol lady know and she gets a hold of her Dad who fortunately knows a guy who works in a shop near by... So I get my car towed to this garage and get my car looked at... At this point I don't know what the fuck I was going to do... I definitely didn't have the funds available to fix my car and get back home... So I contact family and they thankfully deposited enough money in my account to cover the possible costs...

basically big brother on steroids, i thought it was really good. intense. thought-provoking in a "what would "i" do in this situation" kind of way. i just was watching conan and he said that sales of that book have spiked between the government data gathering and to a lesser extent the xboxone or whatever. i realize its because people are referencing it " fuck its like 1984 man" (uh oh, i havent read it and dont understand the pop culture reference! panic and buy the book!)

i had to read Lord of the Flies, it was ok, i should reread it though. i would probably like it better now. i really enjoyed Number the Stars, and i was in an advanced course so i read Night in 7th or 8th grade. Powerful. i LOVED Slake's Limbo, and i really liked The Scarlet Letter. hated Grapes of Wrath, Loved The Great Gatsby. Loved Island of the Blue Dolphins. never finished Robinson Crusoe or Don Quixote. just couldnt do it.

i love books. books have been some of my best friends. Favorite series include Kushiel's Legacy, and Jacqueline Carey's other books in the same storyline. The Sword of Truth series, by Terry Goodkind, and the Earth's Children series by Jean Auel

 

So plans for driving up north are blown as it's a 4hr drive to get where we need to be and it's already 2pm... So we decide to drive into the city so I can check out this fly shop... It was alright.. I may have had too high of expectations it's a well known dealer... But I got to cast this really nice bamboo rod that this guy had brought in to buy a line for... One of the finest rods I had ever cast... Should be seeing as the guy had paid $1500 for the dang thing! It was great to get to hold it and cast it though... I will probably never own such an amazing work of art... So after that we decide to go and camp at Cuivre River State Park just outside of the StL area... It is a really nice park for being so close to such a big city... During camping the shop called and said the car was fixed... So we made plans to wake up early.. Pick up the car and continue on to our original destination... So it was a great night of camping... We had a whole loop to ourselves... Had a couple young racoons keeping us entertained...

Wake up early... Head to the shop to pick up the car... Get the keys... Get in... And my fucking tire locks up again... Almost immediately... Go back in... Brake guy won't be in until 9am... It's 7:30am.... :biker: So not knowing what to do we go and chill at the house... Finally decide to go check out a park and then we decided to go to the St Louis Zoo... Which is FREE! Was a zoo... Cool but kinda depressing.. Finally shop calls and we go and pick up the car... This time it works! :2thumbsup: It's like 3:30pm so we decide to jet to Iowa still... So that I can get a leg up on the drive in the morning... We were gonna camp but it was humid and we much wanted a hotel... So we lived in up in this fancy Howard Johnson in nowhere Iowa...

Overall it was a good time... And the fly by the seat of your pants style worked out in our favor... I had a great time... Was great to see my baby... She's been away for 3 weeks now and the dog can only fill so much of a void... I miss her already... And hoping we can meet one more time or it's going to be a really long 7 more weeks

 

it had made it to St Louis before... and I put 1000s of miles on it yearly from just fishing... I keep it well maintained for the most part.. But this break situation may become more expensive than the car is worse.. The shop fixed the car for me well enough to get home knowing my financial situation

 

can't sleep at all..
