No, not if you're in tune with yourself and others, the energy they give off. I think women tend to be more in touch with those feelings than men are however.

When you think you're reading energy, you're perciving things with your senses and reviewing them based on past experiences, or things you have heard.

It's a survival mechanism, but if you always go with it, it's pretty prejudiced.

Theres probably a reason women listen to this more, they've got a lot less people to trust based on past experiences. Like men.

Hmmm, so you never get a "feeling" about someone? A gut instinct that proves correct?

I know not everybody is into things like that, but...

i read in the local paper a few months ago.. that a person making minimum wage would have to work about 120 hours a week just to make ends meet..

and i did the math in my situation.. and i'd still be poor  freakin' sucks

Of course, like I said, it's often based on past experiences. When it turns out correct, then it probably saves you some trouble.

Intuition doesn't always help. The worst kinds of people it seems are people that nobody has any intuition about.

And that gut instict is just socially programed instict. Intuition has done a lot more harm then it has good. Why do you think nobody voted for blacks untill the 70's? They didn't think about it before, it was just their 'feeling' that they shouldn't vote for that.

It doesn't always have to do with race either, there are lots of cues for intuition. Sometimes they're pretty good, like if you see a crappy car speeding at 2 AM, you'd probably avoid it. Probably a good idea.

But in generally safer situations, like meeting someone, it's usually better to put those insticts aside and get to know the person. People who think it hasn't hurt them yet are probably living inside a bubble.
