Religion is so funny to me. For instance, we are given all these "sinful" feelings at birth. Let's take lust for example. It's inevitable..we're gonna do it. If we are born into sin, naturally lust for people we see, then how they turn around and tell us we can't do it??? Damnit, why can't we? Let's make these gorgeous people and naturally give them the feeling of attraction but smack their hand when they take notice. I had some christian man awhile back try to tell me that sex was only for making babies, and not to be enjoyed. Okay I said, explain to me why women have orgasms then. Needless to say he couldn't, and the conversation ended at that. How insane is that?? I in no way judge or down someone for trying to better themselves, but please don't get caught up in the bullshit. Love is the only religion I need. If more people loved and helped their fellow human beings out instead of pointing their own guilty little fingers we'd all be better off.
If you feel pain, you feel pain... but in that case, if you don't, why in the hell wouldn't you just seize the day while you're at it.
I don't think anyone understands that its a personal choice of what you look to or whether you follow blindly, I'm not going Christianty follow it all I mean yes through out time people have twisted for their own gain like Destiny here but there is good in it once you take that out, now how is say love thy neighbor as you love thyself {people forget the last part as you can't give love if you don't have it right} a negitive thing, its how you look at it & what you look at . Its disapointing that people on here are doing exactly what they say they're against judging others, but in saying that fair enough if it works for you Love to you all!
i set up a thread about maiming squirrels...i was pretty fucked up and fucked off, but am better now had 4 hours sleep
not all churches are like what you say they are. there are churches that actually follow the teachings of jesus and dont act all solemnly about it. it's only really the anglican and catholic churches that seem to be stuck in the dark ages and think that everyone has to be repressed and sad to be a christian....
I went to a baptist church once... if you didn't wear the same clothes or do things the same way, they'd treat you like an outsider. Then I tried another and the pastor was kicked out for committing adultery with the secretary/bookkeeper person. blegh... you don't need a center of worship to take up a religion to be devoted to it. I don't like religion all that much because of people trying to turn it into something it shouldn't be about. - Greed.
well i go to a baptist church and it's nothing like that. you dont have to dress smartly or anything like that. you can come along if you're not a christian to see what it's like and stuff like that. i agree that a lot of people try and turn religion into a money making scheme; the church i go to only ask for money so they can rent the hall to have the church at, it's not some form of business at all.
That's what they said here... but now it's falling apart. I find religion, government, education, media, corporations, etc. to be another form of Freemasonry based crap, sometimes...
I gave up alcohol about two years ago and it's one of the best things i've done for myself. It can hold you back so much, stop a lot of spiritual growth. I just couldn't handle the negativity associated with it (i.e. fighting, breaking stuff, talking shit). Humanity would be so much better without it, but who knows when we'll wake up.
