I know right, its one of the few things that has been wildly popular in the past few years for good reason.
Personally it's mostly for the playlists that I love it.. cause I am very.. anal about my playlists.. and this really does a great job and will make my life much easier, funner, and make me gain a LOT of time!
I have so much music.. it finds songs I completely forgot about.. and reminds me of how much I love them.. or it finds songs I never listened to even.. from albums I uploaded a long time ago, and never finished listened to or did only once or twice in the background or something.
I didn't bother turning that feature on. Don't think I need iTunes to recommend me any music, I lust listen to the radio.
I don't use iTunes for my iPod, hate that damn program. I just use Winamp for synching. My iPod screen is almost completely broken though... don't ever lend your iPod to your drunken friends.
So is mine.. 2 years old.. I got it for my 21st.. I am asking a new iPod Touch for my bday in 4 months. Or xmas. Same thing, my bday is Jan. 2nd.. I doubt I'll get it though, it's too expensive for my family this year. I did ask for a Polaroid Camera and film for a while though.. that might be cheaper..
That comes in phases with me. I go maniac finding new stuff and getting new music for a period of time and then stop for a while..
I don't ask my parents for gifts, but I will probably buy a new iPod when I make some money over Christmas. It's always a worthy investment and you can find fucken amazing deals on eBay.
Why does everyone love iPod? There are much better players... Even though I must admit this one's got style.
Technically, there aren't better players than the iPod. It's all about simplicity and easy of navigation when it comes to an mp3 player... and none of the others can beat the iPod in that.
I've already got a list of records I want that would seriously bankrupt me ifI actually did buy them. I just prefer to discover new music through friends and radio DJs than clever algorithms. There was a feature already on iTunes that looked at your purchases and suggested other albums you might also like. I don't know if it is the same as this new Genius feature though. I was about to turn it on and then it said that it would give iTunes permission to see all my tunes, and I got a bit paranoid and decided I'd rather keep that information to myself. Most of the CD's I converted have been borrowed from friends you know. I've still spent about 500 quid downloading music from them in the past year though, more than I have ever spent on music in my life!
