I believe Liam is being deliberately provocative.
He is either bored or has a twisted sense of humour.

The crack about 'a few beatings putting a marriage back on track' was designed to provoke a reaction.
I'll bet he hasn't even got a wife, a girlfriend or one friend in the world.
We should pity Liam. And, yes, help him by ignoring him from now on.
Maybe then he will go away and get a real life.

Liam I don't have a wife, I don't have a girlfriend.
At 17 years of age, I have a face full of acne and a shitload of problems.
When I'm lucky enough to have sex with a girl I treat the opportunity as a minor miracle and treat the girl like the Queen of England.

I may have problems with my life ( as I'm sure you do ) but I certainly wouldn't invent one to provoke a bunch of good people in a friendly community.
I don't like hating people or ignoring them. But, Liam, you know you are in the wrong.

 

heironymous, I sympathise with you as I too was once a 17 year old with the problems in life that a 17 year old has to face in life. However i beleive that if you treated a woman like the Queen of England she would treat you like the Queen of England's dog. You have a lot yet to learn young man and I wish you luck, but maybe some day you'll come to realise that I am not wrong.

 

That's bullshit! Obviously some girls will take advantage that way, but most won't. And like I say if your wife treats you badly then you should have exercised better judgement, and not chosen to marry her. Violence against women who don't conform to your male superiority expectations can never be justified. You're know better than a rapist!

opinions and actions are totally different. once you step over that line, and act by hitting your wife, you're in the wrong, no matter the box you think in.

 

What pains me the most is knowing that at some point in your lives you have all wanted to beat your wife. (those of you who are married) Society frowns upon it so you go along. Not me. I'm of the opinion that it's my wife and I'll do as I see fit for the good of my marriage.

 

I admit to knowing Liam and we have spoken about his post. Although I am new here I would like to have my say on the subject. I know he beats his wife but to hear you all complaining about him you'd think he does it every day! Liam is a genuinely nice guy who has his own views on life and I for one think he should be commended for it. He has nothing to hide. What you see is what you get

 

What pains me most is knowing that your poor wife is suffering! If we all wanted to beat our wives or girlfriends then we would cause it's easy, but we don't cause we're not cavemen, it's got nothing to do with society, some people are just not evil enough to hurt the one we love. We talk over the problems we're having with our women cause we're equal. We apply rationality over ignorance. If we're being disrespected or treated wrong then we move on to the next one, cause there's plenty more fish in the sea. But you can't do that cause you're trapped in a marriage that I don't believe either of you are happy in. Trust me, no woman likes the humiliation of being physically put in her place, and if you tell me she's happy with that, then I don't believe you!

 

This is how men get stabbed or shot in the middle of the night.One can only hope.

 

Eloquently put Anaconda Man but my wife is not suffering. She is a very happy and contented woman and is now a dutiful wife. I could not ask for more, if my neighbours would stop interfering we'd be a lot happier, They have no right! And thank you Chumly Warner for your support. These people have had their own way for too long.

It's not a matter of allowing liam to beat his wife, it's non of my business. I must admit that I uphold the same principle as I too beat my wife. Now this is not what you think, I do not condone wife beating while under the influence of alchahol. If a man has to beat his wife it must be for a reason and result in the desired effect. Neither should a man beat his wife too regularly as she may leave.
