I wore a jumper today!!!! Yay My ward has no air con so it's awful. Plus downstairs it is like a greenhouse - we will all fry!
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/se/se_forecast_warnings.html I predict that there will be heavy thunderstorms across London. This will result in a brief powercut and two people struck. There will also be localised flooding and in the next coming hours, winds are to be expected. Overall temperatures tonight: 11 degrees or less (Celsius) A mini tornado will invelop on central London at around 12:15 pm, Thursday 15th May 2008. Be alert at all times and now is the time to take out plugs from wall sockets and to unhook your aerial from your digibox or tv set. Additional: Don't walk around like The Tin Man during a thunderstorm. You will light up like a christmas tree. Also if you are caught in a thunderstorm, find the heighest tree for protection. Or is it the shortest?
I LOVE the hot weather!!!!!I've decied I'm not going to complain about the hotness of things this year be cause last year was sooooo rainy!!! Sun is beautiful and amazing and fab!!!!! It wa salittle cloudy today, but if everyone smiles really hard the sun'll probably come out just for us, so give it a try Hugzies x x x x xx
Its all over now. No more hot hot sunshine. No more lazy afternoons by a lagoon, watching a mermaid having a shave under her armpits. No more tossing stones into the Thames, watching the suns rays twinkle on each ripple, like gleaming stars. No more excessive amounts of cola in my fridge. No more open doors and windows, no more sweaty armpits and pongy feet. I think the weather has turned quite nasty. There is a noticable chill in the air. The daffs are dead, so spring is over. What summer we had barely a week, could this be another summer 2007? I dread to think.(Put away those rusty blades, I just might think about them).
The sun has made a triumphant return. It is about 21 degrees today. I bet if I went down to the southcoast, it would be similar scene. But lots of large ladies wearing polkadot bikinis and some on a bike riding up and down the promenade ringing their bell. There would be a nice breeze and the sea would lap against the shore, dragging back more shingle before the next wave takes over- the whole shabang! I hope summer lasts just a little longer, before Winter comes.
Well, summer is well and truly over. Screwed up like a useless piece of paper. Only those with "I-m-a-g-i-n-a-t-i-o-n", will find something useful for it. Screwed up in a bin, summer is dead. The winds are not unlike autumn. The trees are confused and the squirrels have organised a Season Summit, to discuss the weather. They may have to collect nuts now, then hibernate till next summer. At the moment, it is pooring drizzly with rain. The wind howling through the cracks of my flat. Oh, and of course there is the onslaught of a winter chill.
Hah it is indeed John.. today we saw the beginning of the summer floods.. the road outside my house has once again turned into a river
I had to ride my motorbike in the torrential downpour.. had to go home and change then get a taxi. Water was literally pouring off my trousers
