people don't listen. We have been told people will die, but apparently that means we can continue to sit in large crowds and cough all over each other.

 

There's a video doing the rounds, 3 youths cough and spit in the faces of an elderly couple, culminating in one of them punching her in the eye! Tommy robinson is passing in his car and stops to intervene, the youths attack him and damage his car, the police arrive and tell him he was wrong for intervening! What the hell is going on?

Mixed message: Notwithstanding the 'house arrest' order, I still have to attend the hospital later this week for yet another blood test.

 

I,ve just had to rush my mate to hospital, he had an urgent appointment this evening for a procedure, under the '2 week rule' meaning possible cancer, suddenly this afternoon he got a call asking him to attend immediately, he'd no way of getting there so I went over and rushed him in, hopefully he'll be ok.
If you have an appointment you'll still be able to attend, although I know in my area, all non urgent work is being cancelled, because my wife is doing the cancelling! I just hope she's not had too bad a day, she's had some right arseholes giving her abuse on the phone recently, it's not her fault, she's only doing what she's told.

just watching the government stuff on BBC, they are discussing funerals, the guy said it may mean that only one person, apart from the celebrant that is, being allowed to attend the funeral!
Know I know on happy occasions the party, or parties invoved, are called the 'celebrants' e.g the child being christened, the bride and groom being married, and that's fair enough, they are happy to celebrate the event. I think that referring to a dead person as a 'celebrant' is a little distasteful, lets face it, unless you're suffering incredible pain, you're hardly likely to be too happy over dying, are you!

So, there's no PM's press conference today due to an emergency meeting, there's been meetings held in the hospitals today, at least there has in my wife's hospital, there's also a lot of military vehicle movements going on, you can bet your life we'll be in lockdown very very soon!

In order to provide a good service at competitive prices, shops set up to exactly meet demand. So once people start stockpiling food, they simply cannot cope.
The sad thing is that a lot of this food will end up rotting before it is eaten, particularly if electricity supplied get disrupted for any reason. Keeping a small emergency supply makes some sense, but what is happening is crazy.
Shops all tell me that deliveries are normal, but the shelves are bare by lunchtime.
