lol @ how this seems to have slipped through the net. wft lol - not questioning the science, just thinking about the logistics and ew and stuff . Do you use one of those "moon cup" things?
I have watered my plants with blood from my diva cup. .. er. I mean "ewww gross i would never". I would totally eat encapsulated dried placenta if I thought it would help with PostPartumDepression.(do you know whats in most meds you take if you find THAT gross??hell, you are probably already consuming quite a bit of cow placenta- and bones ) Don't think I could just stir fry placenta up wth veg or anything tho.ew. ANYWAY Your dreads look great Mamamojo , I wish my hair was that long
False. I have a friend who's a nurse w/ dreads. All they ask is that she keeps them neat and in an up do. And my actual university teaches Chinese herbal medicine as a BSc degree. As well as complementary herbal medicine. Sorry to bring this old thing up but just irked me when my own university offers BSc's and above in complementary medicine.
i want to try a moon cup, but havnt shelled out the 30 bucks yet i use cotton pads that i make. sometimes i soak them in a bucket of water and the resultant "enriched" water goes on my plants. when you wash your pads out by hand every month, the gross factor is quickly reduced to almost nothing.
I did. I just thought that if you did a degree in something it would be recognised in Canada seeing as its the exact same qualifications obtained in the same way.
Yeah but if you come to Canada to work, you have to follow Health Canada's federal protocol. They don't care where you're from. And to be a nurse in Canada, you do it through college. You don't need to go to university
But you still have not provided any facts to back up your claim....I looked through that link you gave me and found nothing about dreads, piercings, hair color and nurses/doctors.
Well keep looking then. And common sense will tell you such things won't be tolerated in a professional environment
No, common sense tells me that with the nursing shortage we have in Canada, that we will follow other countries' leads and these things will be overlooked in order to recruit younger nurses. I should not have to search for information that you claim is factual. First rule in debating: back up your claims with facts from reputable sources.
Pat, you've lost this particular debate. Come back later and bash some other subject you know very little about. I mean do you really think plants are incapable of healing the human body? You're dumber than I thought if this is the case. Every 'medicine' that comes to you in the form of a pill has been taken either from a plant, an animal or a rock. If you believe in the power of aspirin, then you have ingested plants to make yourself feel better. How about a valium? Comes from Valerian Root. Western medicine may isolate and concentrate the organic chemistry, but the plant produced the healing stuff. Idiot.
And as far as 'degree', western medicine is just now realizing and recognizing the value of ancient healing techniques. Up until very, very recently, western medicine was all about slice 'em and dice 'em, only dealing with what could be taken out or cut into. Holistic medicine, aka eastern medicine, was all about treating the whole person. They believed that the body should never be cut into, thus treated everything with, you guessed it, plants and herbs. Today, western civilization is playing the catch up game, and only now recognizing holistic medicine, in some cases, as a viable alternative to surgery and other invasive procedures. In fact, in the last five years, western medicine has even acknowledged the presence of the chakras. Sorry for the rant, but ignorance is no excuse.
I used a diva cup which is basically the same thing and I got mine for 18 dollars and some change at this website: www.iherb.com But it is the greatest thing ever for periods. I love how this thread turned into "everything else" except mamamojos dreads, which I think are looking great!
I wanted to add that it's a lot easier to show research and medical proof when it is a pharmaceutical company doing research for their new pills and "cures". The reason there are so few studies is because there is no money for these big companies to make in researching herbs. I mean... you can plant them in your garden so how are tehy supposed to make money?
Oh no you showed me. Go have fun in your little garden and keep reporting me to mods cause you're upset How about you provide me with proof that they are tolerated?
