more snow out there this morning. you'd think we're in the middle of winter or something...

sitting in a coffee shop enjoying my last work-free and kid-free day before starting work next week. pretty excited to start doing something productive again, but it is nice to have time to sit around and read as well.

 

Lot of piss jokes lately I think the meme thread should be active.

 

5c here this morning....41f.....I have to cross over later to get some food type supplies......

 

it got up above freezing here yesterday, so the ~10cm of snow from last night is now covering a nice sheet of ice on the sideroads. i drove my wife to work today because the streets and sidewalks were too slippery.

i'm about to head over to the reserve to get some gas. it is usually only like 5 cents/litre cheaper, but it is only a 5 minute drive out of town and i'd rather give my money to them than to esso or sunoco or something like that.

 

i'm also going to the pharmacy to see about getting a narcan/naloxone kit to have on me at the new job and when i volunteer at the warming centre in town. you never know when you might need it, especially since they are expecting a sharp rise in fentanyl-laced drugs.

 

my lower back is acting up bad. like, fucking ow man. i have way too much shit to get done though. i feel like i need my hips pulled down, there are no stretches that are helping so far. crappy.

but should be getting that new couch today, so im excited about that.

 

you need a lot of narcan to halt a fentanyl od.

 

i constantly dream about dieing

I have heard you can't dream in color. You can't read while dreaming. You can't die while dreaming.
I done them all.
Well never saw my dead body but I know I was killed by that rat.
Had many dreams where I should have been dead but freak events prevent it.
Actually had one last night. Sliding on a slick street and went over a cliff but like a glitch in a video game I shot up in the air. I woke up just as I landed.

 

Yeah... that's bogus. I have fallen to my death many times in my dreams. I usually wake up though around the moment of impact And I'm pretty sure I dream in color regularly. Don't recal getting any reading done in my dreams. Hmmm!

 

when I was 12 I had this weird and very vivid dream.
I was on some medieval battlefield dressed in armor and engaged in a life and death duel with some faceless nemesis when all of the sudden he hit me in the upper arm with a huge axe and cut my arm off.
Right then I woke up and got out of bed and my arm was cold and lifeless and internally I freaked out thinking my arm was actually chopped off.
I was sleeping in some odd position that cut the blood flow to my arm and it was cold, numb and beginning to turn pale/blue.
Guess my body interrupted my dream to say "HEY! Move asshole!"
But damn did I freak out whenever I sat up in bed and my arm was dead weight hanging from my shoulder, LOL

 

Maybe but I have had the dead arm thing many times...10 at least, never had a dream that jolted me awake when it happened. (At least that I can recall)

 

i used to have constant dreams of bears gnawing off my flanks


but those dreams stopped when my kidneys got back to normal


my latest problems is lungs so the dreams tend to be about drowning or asthma

 

I am on the boat in such dense fog that the captain keeps sounding the foghorn… It is directly above my car and let me tell you it's fucking earth shattering to your ears …

Hubby dreams that raccoon are biting his feet (neuropathy).

 

I used to work under the boiler room steam release valve. My supervisor lived 6 miles away and said he could here it from home.

 

I have dreamed more than once I was riding my bicycle and my foot slipped of the pedal, causing you to make a sudden move stretching your leg which in reality would make my foot hit the road. I woke up right away every time this happens and find out I kicked the end of the bed at the same time my foot would have slipped of the pedal in the dream.

 

I dreamed I was in a fight with some woman and she punched me in the eye.

I woke up and I think hubby had elbowed me in the eye...still not sure.
