Had 20 week/anatomy ultrasound on Tues and... well, like title says, it's a girl. :D Which is kinda what everyone was thinking.

I am happy about it. Everyone in my family has boys only so someone was due to have a girl soon.
Cason really really wanted a boy. I heard him last night talking to his stuffed bear when I put him to bed, saying "I want the name Olivia. But I WANT a BOY!!!" (talked to him about it today though and even though it'll be a girl he's excited his baby sister is coming soon). :)

And anyways...all else from ultrasound was looking good. I kinda wish the tech didn't even bother to tell me the baby was currently breach because I Know it really doesn't matter if baby is breach or not (as they move around a lot at this stage) at 20 weeks... but something I wish I didn't hear none the less as Cason was never breach during ultrasound.

The current fav names are Elliana, Kaya, Olivia and Nalda (amongst about ten others).... but out of even those names we will (so far) most likely go with Elliana or Kaya.

    :)

It's seeming more real to me now that I know that it's a girl. For a little while this pregnancy was just kinda...surreal to me. Can't even explain. But now I have a baby shower date picked out, registry made at Target, names picked... Nods.

Oh another funny thing...Cason said to me yesterday in all seriousness- "But, mommy?" "Yes?" "Don't you know HOW to make a boy????" lol. I was like... "hm, kinda... I made you but no I guess I didn't know how this time". :)

    congrats!

my wife just had her 10 week ultrasound, so in about 10 more we will learn if it's a boy or a girl. the baby grew SO MUCH since the 7 week ultrasound, it's crazy.

    i can't fuckin' believe i'm gonna be a dad.

Congrats to both of you :) I remember you mentioning a little while ago that she had just found out...that's awesome news. :)

Why did she have a 7 week and 10 week ultrasound? The more the better in my opinion... I only had (so far) the initial one which was for dating because I wasn't 100% sure when I got preg, and I'm glad I had that ultrasound because I was almost a month off. And then this one...and I'll have prolly just one more (at 36 weeks)... in any case, if you think the baby grew a lot between weeks 7 and 10, wait til you see the next ultrasound (well, the 20 wk one).... you can't fit the baby on one screen... so it's a screen for head... a screen for heart... a screen for legs, etc.

The more the better...with ultrasounds? Not so much. :/

But anyway, really happy for you. Apparently I don't know how to make boys. If I ever have another I hope I have a boy. Although you know, it's not uncommon for ultrasounds to be wrong...

My congradulations to both AT and porkstock on the upcoming around 3 years of cuteness, followed by 15 years of ungrateful whining, then followed by another 12 years of being an adult but still living with and spongeing off their parents
