7 years worth of student loans, insanely high practice insurance, employees, and modern equipment (xrays etc) can cost an arm and a leg. The only dentists that make realy good money are the root canal specialists and the oral surgeons.

 

Yeah, I forgot about the suicide rate. It's because they are always repairing damage that they could have prevented. It drives them crazy.

 

4-5 years? Try 7-8 years. And yes, dentists are like teachers, on a more grandiose monetary scale. Instead of buying their own notebooks, they have to pay for insurance, and 5 or 6 $14,000 machines before starting a private practice. And, ofcourse, because it's medical equipment, and this is America, the mark-up on even the most simple tool is enormous.

I agree with Mabus on this one,... you're giving Marijauna users a bad name, man. I mean, I don't hate you or anything like that, but you're not exactly helping us in our argument that we're just like every other human, and are otherwise upstanding citizens. The idea that you can steal from someone because they're rich is the same type of ridiculous idea as our forefathers used to take over this country, called manifest destiny. "Well, God told us we could have it, so we're taking it". Just because someone has an abundance of something doesn't mean that any part of that abundance is rightfully your simply by reason of the fact that they have that abundance, not unless they specifically tell you part of it's yours. It's like saying you can steal from Wal-mart because they have so much money. If you don't like Wal-mart, don't shop there, don't steal from there.

yeah thats defineltey true. i know this kid who had to go on depression medicine. i wasnt there when he did it but he was in class one day and spazzed out and stabbed himself in the leg with a pencil. depression meds are so wack. Once he got over his depresion and got off his meds he was mad cool tho.

 

I don't know why you're surprised that there are people who don't agree with stealing. You said yourself it's a dick thing to do. The question is, why would you do it if you know it's wrong? Something to think about. Leaving the whole "the dentist is rich and can afford it" thing out of it, taking someone else's shit is just wrong. That's just greed at work, thinking YOU deserve more because...well, because!

im down to 13 teeth left, dont end up like me, take care of teeth and dont drink sodas and sugar crap! it will catch up to you and haint you later, im only 26 and am like this from horrible diet all these years, paying for it now, sugar is the biggest problem, reduce it as much as possible, but watch out for aspartame too, do not consume aspartame it is in alot of drinks and foods, i can show you repors about the stuff

Damn straight aspartame (nutrasweet) is bad...also, in soda, there's all that carbonic acid (which makes the fizz) that actually corrodes your teeth. Horrible shit, I don't know why people eat half the shit they eat these days. Makes me ill at the thought of it...

 

yeah im defenetley takin better care of my teeth. The dentist showed me a new brushing technique that makes my teeth shine. im also flossing more and using a flouride base mouthwash. i wanna have a good smile. yeah i know stealing is wrong so i dont know. ive always been too slick with my hands for my own good. its gets me in trouble for certain stuff(like getting repromaded on here but im not mad about that cuz i know u guys still love me ) but the ladies never complain about my slick hands. but yeah. like the title of the thread it was a dick thing to do but i did it.

 

Hey, before you start using flouride...I've recently been hearing some shit about how extremely poisonous a substance it is. You might want to look into that.
