I was going to go to a coworker's BBQ. I even bought her a bottle of Riesling because it's her birthday, but it's way too hot out there. I'd only go somewhere if it involved a body of water. The friends from work who I'm actually close to, all bailed for the same reason, so there was even less of a reason for me to go. I shall be drinking her wine anytime now and having an Anime marathon. Maybe when the sun is down, I'll go for a walk, but it's Lansdale's day and I want to avoid being around the celebratory people. Here's hoping that it will all be over by nighttime.
It's a cold wet day here. I am going to go to the veggie market, then will go back home and rearrange the furniture to make room for the new entertainment unit and chest of drawers coming next week.

I went for a run this morning, then walked to the store and back, then walked again to the library and a couple more stores and home. :2thumbsup: spent all afternoon outside, sweating in the humidity. Now it's pouring rain.
I spent the day working in a friends garden with her. Her flowers should be happy now as they have a stone edging and no weeds as neighbours. Finished off with a nice BBQ. Was a great day and Rat this is a nice thread.
My friend that I was going to that BBQ with ended up coming over a few hours ago. She brought brownies, regular brownies and the kids ended up running around in circles as they burned their sugar high.
Always a good idea to drink white wine on warm days. In fact, I had a Riesling last nite, to accompany baked chicken in a Riesling sauce made with a roux. Quite tasty! Fetzer Goosefoot Lane Reisling beats out most German and French Reislings hands down!
I'm not a big fan of white wine, but I wouldn't even think of drinking red as hot as it was that day. Riesling is the only one I can drink, but the one I got wasn't very good. It was from California, like the one you recommended. I've only drank the German ones, but I can't remember the names. My cousin's husband was the one that introduced me to them back when I used to drink more frequently. I'll check that one out next time.
My, what a good day for a walk outside I'd like to think we did it for the better of.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ13_qKEy6E"]Red Hot Chili Peppers - Wet Sand (Album Version) - YouTube
