I bought a 2 inch diameter stainless steel ring yesterday for placing over both my scrotum & penis at the same time. The largest one I used previously was a bit too tight when erect. It gets placed under base of scrotum & over the penis at base of shaft. It feels awesome when I get an erection & I have slept with it on overnight. I bought the ring at a DIY hardware store.
When placing metal or silicone penis rings on the shaft or to other areas of a male's genitals, its sometimes recommended to use lube on them. It can irritate skin at times depending on amount of pressure or amount of time rings are left on for. I found that by accident the other night !

 

A few weeks ago, having noticed some blood coming from the tip of my penis (I suspect it was due to using too small a condom) I had to undergo an internal exam by having a catheter, with a camera inserted all the way through the urethra into my bladder (when I also got to see on the monitor screen what my prostate looks like from the inside).
From the start this entire experience was agony, even with the local anaesthetic lubrication fluid they used, so I can't imagine how on earth anyone could possibly gain any pleasure by inserting anything - especially that size - into the urethra.

Incidentally, as a side note, ever since I had to undergo a partial circumcision last year I've had problems directing the flow of my urine, as it had a tendency to spray instead - much like squeezing the tip of a hosepipe. However, since having the catheter exam this problem seems to have been fixed as a consequence.
