It is NOT illegal to take photos in public!!!

    Mmm...ok, well, it seems like the person didn't wish for the OP to be locked up.
    It sounded like advice or a heads up rather than a threat of calling the cops.
    It was just why would somebody who may have not liked pictures being taken not minded surveillance cameras and drones?
    I didn't get the impression the person cared about having their own picture taken.
    But, It's difficult to decipher the motivation from scant information, I guess.
    Your reaction just didn't make a lot of sense.
    It does a little bit now.

    Do you disagree with this: 'You have no expectation of privacy walkin' down the sidewalk. '?

    Sorry, the sarcasm didn't come all the way through. I just meant we do get a lot of knee jerk reactions around here in general so I was understanding why you would think this particular instance was one of those times.
