Not true...no matter how often you state it. Poor Israel is always the victim...for those that can't read or don't want to. Thing is they overplayed their hand with the last bombings of Lebanon and Gasa. Hard to ignore what was right there in front of us. Find yourself some different marketers from those of the GOP. It's surprising those failures haven't ask for a bailout.
I am talking about the peace process. I would guess the Israelis don't give a shit, or they wouldn't be expanding when they know that by expanding settlements it will stir the waters. We just watched Israel bomb the shit out of Gaza, now we have a new president, Israel just had an election..so they decide to expand? Will that help the process? Why is it a stretch for me? I am a US citizen, we are undergoing a huge economic crisis, I watched while two of my cousins went to war in the middle east under GW. They both got back, but I wonder why they even had to go. We are now asked to send money we don't have to Israel to support a biblical cleansing, that if as Christians we looked at it closely might include us? Sorry but I have to ask the question why is the US sending aid to Israel...what's in it for us?
As far as I can see, Gush Etzion has been in the hands of Israelis for decades. So, they are not expanding they are proposing to build on land they already occupy. It is an area with a bloody past, yes. Hence the interest now, I presume. It might well stir the waters, that I can agree. I have no problem with that narrative, at all. Just dropping the US into the equation, arbitrarily.
Your bitterness might well be well founded. But at a certain point you need to let go. Atleast notice where there is no US involvement and where there is. To join the two at any and every given opportunity is why I imagine the peace process is so slow to materialise. Talk of "biblical cleansing" is just nonsense imho, complete hyperbole. Please never become a US diplomat, concerned with the middle east.
I am sure the western world was told Israel settlements were disbanded. In fact I think posters here on Hipforms have stated that as support for Israeli agression. You are saying they never were?
I take what is said here with a pinch of salt to be honest. It is hardly a place of objectivity and none partisanship. I mean no offense, btw. We are all as bad as each other. I'm saying neither yes or no, you show me where they did say it and I'll accept that.
Quite frankly it does not matter, as land is disputed all the time. Agreements are made and past heritage is only the concern to a minority who cling the past. It always amazes me the grief that is engendered by such a small piece of land. Btw, Plural not singular. Decades. Since the twenties, I believe. That debate might not be over and is perhaps relevant here. I'll repeat, the US seems not to be.
Israel never disbanded settlements. They never intended to. I as an American/US citizen no longer wish to send aid to Israel. Can Israel afford to wage war without US aid...don't think so... not on the level they have for years, but it's time someone put a stop to their excesses.
To be honest, YAWN. This arguement gets very boring. Stick to the so-called expanding of Israeli territory - I would. That subject is not so utterly boring.
When Israel acknowledges Easter and Christmas maybe then we will allocate you funds. Until then you think you have the crops and goods to keep your wars going?
Probably how your GOP handlers told you to respond...and Merry Christmas to you as well. Hope you receive the type of presents I did this year.
No. Remember where I live. Don't start with how my handlers told me to respond. You come across as weak and stupid when you do that. I know it is an easy thing for you to say but please don't embarass yourself. You are better than that (I hope). A waffle maker?
I have no idea where you really live. This is the intertnet. I can not judge you by your responses. I received nothing. I expected nothing. I celebrate the season for it's meaning alone.
