And what does the U.S. say about this? I saw something briefly on the tv (just words on bottom so wasn't really in detail or anything), about how the us doesn't support Israel attacking schools BUT (haha) how the us has stopped short of condemning Israel for doing this. I wonder what that would take... (Btw did anyone see the colbert report last night? I really liked what was does w last night's show... from it starting off talking about how the world has gone mad- including what's going on in Gaza, amongst other things... to the music and the dancing on the streets and positivity at the end.Just the way the show was put together really put me in a good mood, which seemed the intention.)
Israel is really fucked up. They attacked a school today that was in a UN sanctioned zone for refuges fleeing parts of Palestine. Da fuq, Israel?
And 95% of Israelis don't support a cease fire. I don't know... I kinda get the feeling that Israel thinks they can just do anything- for various reasons-not limited to but including their militaries strength and the support they know they will continue to receive.
We need to park a couple of aircraft carriers off her Mediterranean coast and tell that bitch to cool it.. and mean it this time..
Dude I live in New York City, there are a lot of ffucking jews here. I can tell you, they are normally peaceful, reserved, and willing to take abuse (except when it comes to money). I've heard their preaching at synagogues from time to time because the mic echoes down the block and tonight I actually heard them getting loud on the mic (couldn't make out the words it was obviously in hebrew and muffled). And when they did, it's like everyone else went silent. I know Im not the only one who is a bit shocked, the jews are usually so much quieter. I know a lot of Israeli people, and their motto is 'don't start none, won't be none'. They're like a big rich bear that is sweet usually, hibernates, is good to the family, but you start fucking the bear and it's liable to maul you. The Jews are loaded too, and when I say Jews, I mean all Jews because they give to each other left and right. I'm a little high right now guys.
Being a Jew in NYC is not the same as being a Jew in Israel. Israelis grow up in a culture of war and violence. Its a different mindset. I also read the other day that Hasidic Jews are not Zionists and do not believe the state of Israel should exist.
Not all Jews are Israelis and not all Israeli citizens are Jews. And, as stated above, Jews in the US are hardly the same as those raised in Israel. There is a lot more indoctrination in Israel...starting with the fact that almost all citizens of a certain age must enlist in the military on some level and receive training which includes psychological molding. Edit to say that I'm not sure if it's all citizens or all Jewish citizens who much enlist.
Who gives a fuck? Thats not the point here. They unite as people, and if you think the jews don't stick together you're wrong. The fuck you know about Jews anyway, you live in bumfuck where no Jew ever ventured (within the US).
I really don't think he or they are hating on Jews. I think they are just pointing out that being Jewish and being an Israeli are not the same thing and have different mentalities exist(because of being taught different cultural things and having different life experiences)...
Evidently, more than you. And while it may be true that I live in the Midwest, you have no idea where I've lived over the course of my life. I was almost going to say I'm sorry if you took anything I said as an attack on any group....but I'm not because nothing I said would have been taken that way by most people.
And while thats true, he has missed the forrest for the tree and assumed I didn't know the difference between Jews. #typicalkeyboardwarrior #themidwestissoboringisntit ? For example, my great grandmother was an Ashkenazi Jew. My mother (who is a dentist, but her first degree is theology in the 80's), identifies with Messianic Judaism. To assume I don't know how the #jewnetwork rolls is a mistake. Who do you think funds their Army? The more extreme Jews? Nahhh. The more Orthodox sects are the most broke because the men devote so much time schooling the Torah that they live in extreme poverty- here and many places all over the world - not just Israel. Despite the geographical separation, and belief systems they still work together in a funding often donation based, friendly network. A Jew is a Jew is a Jew at the end of the day.
Ummm what was yours? We're talking Israelis here, not Jerry Seinfeld No they dont. Like I said not all Jews are Zionists or support Israel. And just because one thinks Israel is acting like a terrorist nation doesn't mean one hates all Jews.
This. And there are some Jewish people who will say that Israel is acting like a terrorist nation. God... Why is Israel in general one topic that if you try to say anything critical about Israel's BEHAVIOR-- someone will come along fairly soon and start saying that people hate Jewish people? There is almost no other subject that seems to get like that almost anytime anyone says anything.
And I did see your reply but I think that just because of what you said doesn't mean it's not also true what Meli said. ??
