in a day an age where women are supposed to be able to do what they want with their lives, and everyone is allowed to change, why would posing for playboy be cause, on the part of the left, for attack?

i keep seeing references to it in 'news' stories. she supposedly was photographed but the photos weren't published. who knows though, the way rumors fly. she supposedly also posed for Vogue magazine, and those photos were published. if anyone does have nude photos of her, they're gonna be worth a fortune.

i'm from alaska and have actually lived in wasilla where palin 'came from'. so when i heard that a substantial part of her experience (about half), which supposedly qualifies her to run the country, was her stint as mayor of wasilla for a few years - i cracked up. wasilla is TINY. not much going on there except trees growing. basically for the last 30 years farmland and tree acreage has been getting carved up by developers and sold to gullible ex-city-dweller-would-be-land-owners for way too much money. alot of them let it go back to the bank still raw land cuz they can't figure out what to do with it. anyways, in case you haven't seen it yet, this is a letter written by someone who knows palin well and has watched her little act up close and personal. it has the ring of truth.

That was a great video and easy to believe when you are dealing with a person who would suggest a $150.00 bounty for every left foreleg of an Alaskan Wolf turned into the state government.

I also saw a picture of her in the most recent news week magazine where she is sitting on a sofa smiling next to a bear skin and head draped over the back of the couch. It made me cringe...

I believe one should only assess (not judge) anyone on anything but their actions in this life.

This person is simply an ass and I truly hope her political career ends sooner than later!

u could easily ask the question:
is [insert any candidate here] an insult to [insert any voter or demographic here]'s intellegence?
and the answer each time is a resounding yes.

I just watched her speech, I really dislike this woman, originally I thought she seemed nice, and it was only the decision I was against, now I'm against her. She is so incredibly snide and arrogant and aggressive. Hear the way she belittled Biden and Obama?

Even Clinton had a certain finesse and dignity about her, this woman has no class at all. They called her Sarah Barracuda at school, I can see why now.

Well we could take this logic and cross over to the Democratic ticket and ask will African Americans vote for Senator Obama because of who his is and what that represents? Then ask if that is insulting?

Whoud the two answers be any diferent?

Should I feel insulted that Obama picked an old white male as his VP. in order to capture that demographic?

No, because every candidate for VP besides Hillary is an older white male. Plus Obama's problem isn't with white males, it's with female Hillary supporters, if his pick was based on wanting to win the election, he would've (and imo should've) chosen Hillary, completely the opposite to McCain.

And I still think it's an insult, forget everything Hillary stands for, everything she represents and wants for this country, come vote for this person, she has almost completely apposing views to Hillary on all issues, but hey, she has breasts, they won't know the difference.

oh but I disagree. I know some that will not vote for him because he is black. Also the amount of hate groups memberships have risen since his attempt at office. Sad but true. As glose to equality that we feel we have come, we are still missing the mark.

Umm hasn't she already been bought? She just had a baby earlier this year hell she just became a grandmother this year too hasn't she? Now she's accepted to take on the most stressful job there is, she's just an heartbeat away from becoming president if McCain gets elected. She knows the only reason she's on that ticket is because she is young and a woman that is it, cause there are many more qualified women to take the VP job. I would finish this thought but i have to go to work, finish this later...

Hey thanks for posting that link. Interesting stuff..
"She's not very tolerant of divergent opinions or open to outside ideas or compromise. As mayor, she fought ideas that weren't generated by her or her staff. Ideas weren't evaluated on their merits but on the basis of who proposed them"

    And another one...

"She inherited a city with zero debt but left it with indebtedness of more than $22 million"

How does that sound so familiar? She's the perfect republican, I bet Bush is so proud she's following his footsteps..

Her childbearing and her daughter's pregnancy have no bearing on what I used to think she was all about. Anti-corruption, but it seems she's not as clean as she was painted. Retracting my support. Seems she's just another politician. It appears there aren't many clean men or women in political office today.

I can't support anyone that promotes more war or excuses torture and the restriction of individual rights based on a false notion that all terrorists derive from a specific area or religion. The fact that she was cheered over her comment about not giving individuals accused of crimes due process cancelled any support I may have felt for her. It makes her dangerous.

If we can not protect and provide human rights protections to all under our jurisdiction, we have no business spreading what we consider democracy anywhere. No matter the risk to our own persons. Somethings are greater than personal interests, and those of are the building blocks of our constitution. Don't our politicians sign an oath to protect it?

I want everyone read their rights, and I want those rights protected!

So, is it true that Sarah Palin's newborn baby with Down Syndrome is actually her daughter's first baby?
