I was high as faawk yesterday... Decided to order some chinese food...

I accidentally tipped the girl $375 without even realizing it... She came back and asked me if I knew what I just did, and i'm like huh...? Then she told me and i'm like ohhhh shit, i'm sorry but I need that back... and she's like "I can't... I don't have that kind of money on me" and i'm like "well i need it back, now.." so she tried to void the transaction.. didn't work.. tried again.. didn't work.. So she tells me to call the store in a bit and work it out...

I call the store, her chinese dad that barely speaks english answers... and he was like "no no no we no refund" and i'm like "dude.. it was a mistake, i need my money.." and he was giving me all this bs.. saying how they can't do it, and i'm like wtf.. yes.. you can man..

So there was a ton of drama and shit for like an hour... then i decided to pull the white guy card and was like "I'll sue you" :rofl: .. totally just talking shit, i wouldn't even know how to sue somebody, and a lawyer would cost more than $370... but he fell for it and started to panic, and i was like "yea, i'll get an investigation on your store! It's filthy in there, have fun getting shut down..." then he got so scared and was like "ok ok ok you come down in 1 hour i have money"

and then i got my $370 back....

moral of the story... order pizza when you're high...

 

I should have given the girl some money... if she didn't say anything i wouldn't have even noticed until it was to late... but her dad was a dick and i was just relived to actually get my money back which surprised me.. so i didn't think of it at the time,,

You know how they bring those little atm machines when you get delivery? It was one of those lol... I was sooo baked I didn't know what dafuq i was doing, I just took the debit machine thingy and put my pin in right away... but apparently i was typing that in the "tip amount" place or something and i forgot a digit i guess too... then i just kept pressing ok, ok, ok... then it told me to put my pin in and i was like... thought i already did this? ohwell.. *does it again*...

I just wanted the food mang...

In the states if you know the right lawyer, and have just a half-assed thing/suit going, you can get them to (TRY to) sue.

I mean, there have been law suits because hot coffee burned someone...I mean WTF?!? If you order HOT coffee and you drop it on you then hey!...it might burn you if you are careless.

Remember McD's being sued because their food was too fattening?...I mean God forbid a person have enough common sense to push away from the dang table...

I've known of other totally stupid lawsuits but those 2 just stand out in my mind...I guess because I just got released from my Character Building job, which involves food and serving numerous jackasses. lol :2thumbsup:

 

I remember seeing a documentary about that mcdonals lawsuit and how the woman who sued was portrayed to be making something out of nothing. She was an elderly woman and had third degree burns though, the burns were so graphic. So I think it was mcdonalds at fault for it being way too hot. Of course everyone expects coffee to be hot, but it shouldn't have been that hot to cause the severe burns it did. She needed the money she sued for to cover her medical bills.

I probably know more, or as many, elderly people as I do middle age and young people. First off, it really hasn't been addressed that elderly people's skin is really thin. I'm being serious, too. That could have contributed greatly to the burns being 3rd degree.

And...even though I may get jumped on for saying this...I KNOW elderly people...I've been around people over 70 ALL my life, and I'm not just talking one or 2. Anyway, what I'm getting to is that often (not always, mind you...but often) they don't have the best eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity and whatever else it takes to sip coffee from a cup-lid purchased at a fast-food place. I knew one lady that took the lid OFF (at another place) and I begged her to replace it and had to show her the sip opening.

Now the companies should be aware of how to make sure the lid is correctly on a hot drink and warn the customer ITS HOT - which I do!...but still, a clumsy spill from an elderly person is not that uncommon.

I wonder what she would have done had she been at home.

Yeah, I think it's unfair that that women is always judged and people think she was just money hungry. But she actually needed the money to cover her medical bills. I would sue too, medical costs are sky rocket. That article says micky d's didn't want to pay her bills and that their had been other complaints that the coffee is too hot. So in the end she won and I think they must not serve the coffee as extremely hot anymore.
