carpet is by the sqft or sqyd too, length is still measures in feet/inches too. unless you buy from the quebec mill, then it is in metres (but they still let you order by foot because they know people will fuck up the conversion).

 

I grew up being taught measurements in millimetres. Makes boring old 2meters into something a bit more complicated and interesting. If something is 2 meters, I'd call it 2000. 2000mm >.>
My grandpa was boilermaker trade, that's how he taught me. All of my tools, rulers, tape measures are all mm based.
Inches just complicated everything especially in my hex key set. 5mm is so easy to comprehend than 1/5" or something.

i am going to walk over and try to meet this dentist today, see if i can get xrays and come back friday, when hubby gets paid... i NEED one tooth pulled, probably 3-5 i would choose to pull. i hope this new dentist is decent, i have i high pain tolerance, and my teeth are still hurting. very bothersome.

I set my alarm to go look at the lunar eclipse but it was way foggy so I went back to bed

 

school just clled and said my kid has to leave for an hour because of short staffing...some others as well.....

lady knows i'm good on a telephone and asked me to call in a complaint immediately as an angry parent

the squeaky wheel gets the oil 30 seconds later I had a principle on the phone regretting that she just answered this call

I was polite....with a small hint of humour...yet very firm
