Because Man is 1/3 of the sentient creation and because Angels care not to bow to Man we could deduce that the scriptures could be falsified in key areas.

In both the time period and area where islam came to be there were both Jews and christians to take notice of. I can see how one would say islam was in some way a reaction of the arabs to the presence of both religions in the area but I don't really get the claim in the OP in regards to those quotes.

Well, most of the "Unclean" animals were bottom feeders or otherwise wallowed in filth and back in the day fishing industries were very local so you would have them pretty much feasting on the Urban sewage of the era. Meaning loaded with all sorts of Human pathogens and nastiness.

I'd also hazard a guess that there are many folks in various parts of the world who would argue rather intently about the merits and fine flavor's to be found in the wide world of Dog & Cat eaters?
