Is white noise more effective if you use it so others don’t hear you?

I was just wondering if you used White noise yourself so others couldn’t hear you, if it would be more effective.

In a hotel? That won’t work. I know white noise can work when the person wants to block out noise, but if you want to have sex and play the white noise yourself how effective would that be?

 

You do realize that you and your partner will be engulfed in white noise, too...

 

I know. But, what’s the alternative? We both made it clear that we want to have sex and it may not be quiet. Plus, white noise isn’t meant to be annoying; so it shouldn’t bother us too bad.

 

You could attach devices that connect your respective mouths to each other's ears.

i think the whole "white noise idea" just isn't gonna work. you'd have to be blasting that shit and seriously who wants to bang to that.

 

White noise is most effective in excess of 130 db... Nobody will hear you after 30 seconds of exposure.


Actually nobody will hear anything for quite some time.

i love how it was just assumed that people would understand a post in the science forum about white noise is actually about sex.

 

I posted something similar in the forum, but the only response I got was doing it doggy style. Great, but what if I am loud and we want to do it in other positions.

 

White noise is for "sound conditioning" to add greater ambiance. But if it is too loud, it causes tinnitus.

 

The the white noise would either have to be closer to the eavesdroppers than you are, or much louder than you are, or both.

So you will be distracted by either the sound of the white noise(and possibly not hear the request to go faster), or you will have to try to experience the bliss of sexual entanglement while trying not to wonder if the eavesdroppers can be trusted to not turn the volume down on the white noise generator

 

Probably best to get your own place

 

Pleasing a woman is too much work. "Go faster"? Give me a break.

 

For me, white noise might keep me from hearing, "Are you in yet?"
