I think the general public fantasies are getting more and more sick. I am not talking about some desire or sexual fulfillment but the way and entirety reality is perceived. Seems people are dumb or just sick? It's not black or white.

Some shows are just so grossly stupid that it is a little bit thought provoking. I don't care what your religion is your not fantastic. Seems there are powers that provoke fear via tv inter fantasy interaction. Make people realize that they are stupid and afraid and any idea can be interjected. Trust your authorities! They trust you and love you.

Can you be more specific? Give some examples.

TV is stupid, it always has been. Just watch Mister Ed or My Mother The Car from the 1960's if you doubt this. Every now and then a good show will make it (1980's Dallas was one of my favorites) but it is rare. The only channel I watch with any regularity is The Science Channel. I have no doubt that it too will eventually be watered down to keep up with the general public's insatiable desire for stupidity.

It's not just TV these days, but the internet, especially social media. These are very useful propaganda tools for the controllers.

There just seems to be no base for what healthy consciousness is. Everything is playing on some sort of sickness. It's just sick.

Go fuck yourself. Nobody is forcing you to click on this thread or view this forum.

If you have nothing intelligent and substantive to say, then don't respond to my posts. It's quite simple.

I guess you took that comment personally, but it is a very valid point.

It's not just the authorities trying to influence and manipulate by spreading their preferred views through the internet (and also mainstream media). Anyone with a few bucks and a strong enough ambition/motivation can invest in spreading their views and/or message. On the internet it is even easier when one mainly has to be communication savvy and knows how to fake credibility.

Well-rounded radio stations are 100 times better than most of what comes on t.v./sat t.v./cable t.v. nowadays.

Listening to something in your home allows your eyes, hands, and feet to be free to get other things done.

There are more categories than just music to really listen to on the radio somewhere.

Radios are cheaper than these HD t.v. sets, desk tops, laptops, and game consoles.

I always have thought that one of the alternatives to message boards and instant messengers is ham radio. You dont have to worry about grammar nazis on it. :)

I was recently considering getting sat radio, but I have found a very nice and well rounded enough AM radio station (Yahoo Sports Radio). I like the majority of radio shows on it. I can also listen to some good programs on an FM radio station (National Public Radio). NPR's Halloween specials on Halloween are the shit!

I like some sick fiction myself. Spaghetti westerns can have a certain LSD after effect when viewing one. It is just that some of the crime portrayed in fiction seems to inspire and solve nothing but more of,the same sick shit! The news gets off on the sick twisted reports. Or reading people's comments on Facebook under news reports. I swear it is always the same ass puppets saying the same shit.

I remember when I made a comment about a 5 year old autistic kid who drowned. I was a YMCA lifeguard for half a decade and a long time competing swimmer since 5. I just said that if the kid knew how to swim he wouldn't have drowned. People really got butt hurt by that and ripped me a new one. It seems that people's fantasies cannot see anything other than coddling kids and people with disabilities to further retard them.

Television may be trying to manipulate people's fantasies, and it probably does mainpulate some people's, but that is not the case for me. I watch all kinds of things.....from serious science and history to silly reality shows.....the reality shows are just a comic relief for me at times.....and sometimes, I can relate to some things some people seem to be going through,,,but i always have my own thoughts on everything. I don't let anyone or anything do my thinking for me.

That is like saying you would know when your hypnotized. It would be inhuman to not havens reaction. Although some people if not many to get very serious about what they see on the tube.

I liked Fantasy Island back when it was on TV. I don't see much TV programming that caters to people's fantasies unless they have a lot of violent fantasies. I'm more likely to see a commercial for skin hair removal than unicorns or girls in bikinis on TV nowadays.

I only have antenna so the programs are a good bit more for the general public. I like MOVIES channel and I watch some French news. The old movies are pretty good and the foreign news is ok. I watch a little bit of Alaska state troopers and border wars but that gets boring.

I think everyone has a different idea of what fantasy means. I'd say it's anything that involves the frontal lobes. This is where all the fun and decision making happens. Rewire that and ya got yourself a robot!

That’s unfortunate because TV is an essential part of every healthy brain and when the mind is deprived of input it shows signs of cognitive degeneration

Yes the TV and media are manipulating your dreams, fantasies, desires, needs, votes, sex lives, what you wear, what you eat, how you think...

You really thought you had free will ?

    I am amused.
