Don't hate. Everyone needs a little romance in their lives now and then  But masters of sex just came on, so Shannon Elizabeth had to get nixed.
I think that's sweet. The only part I'm concerned about is you are watching Christmas movies before Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure that's against the law.
OMG the Hallmark Channel. Don't remind me, I hate the holidays but I know I'm going to eventually end up watching these shows just like I did last year. I would take the Hallmark Channel over Christmas or Thanksgiving though. The shows are horribly written but if you're bored enough you totally end up getting into them.
I don't have the Hallmark channel, but I know the types of films you mean. I watch them more often than I should around this time of year. I watched one the other day, and it was REALLY bad - I was a little miffed, to be honest. I wanted to sit back and enjoy a nice romantic Christmas movie Basically, some women wrote ONE letter/card to a soldier in Afghanistan, and he then felt compelled to find her... This is after he's conveniently allowed to go 'back to the world' for a while to 'have some time away from the uniform'...I think because his mate died, or something like that... I didn't think these things happened, but apparently they do in film land. Anyway, he goes to find this woman, based on a picture of a church on the letter/card she sent. He does find this church! And without knowing it is her (and her not realising it is him) bumps into the woman in a diner. They happen to order the EXACT same meal (It must be true love)... Anyhoo, after he goes to church with her (I can't remember how that happens), and it turns a bit preachy...I checked out of that movie. I'm sure they got together in the end... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0783494/ Have you got any favourites? (that don 't really suck, and don't involve people in their late forties finding love for the second time after the death of one or both of their partners)
If you're looking for a good chick flick to watch, you should go with 13 Going on 30.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y06v_1D-58c"]13 going on 30 trailer - YouTube
lol the only people watching chick flicks in this thread are dudes love actually is a pretty good holiday chick flick, actually. I can't stomach the super cheesy chick flicks
I'm looking for a made for TV Christmas movies - these are NOT 'chick flicks' :frown: (plus I can't watch Mark Ruffalo movies if he is supposed to be the 'romantic lead' - open your mouth and speak properly ffs : / )
lmao odon...but if they haven't lost their husband/wife and/or if their cute little kid doesn't hook them up with someone how will they ever find love again? I don't know chick flicks for me include My Best Friend's Wedding and The Sweetest Thing...I could watch those two over and over again. I haven't really gotten into many other movies like that. I think you should look at some Hayao Miyazaki films...loveeeeee. <3
You guys are seriously killing me I had no idea so many guys were into the made for tv romantic Christmas movies. I can't say that I've really seen many but I think I have seen the one odon was talking about. I don't really remember the end so I probably checked out too if it got preachy. Not my thing. My favorite chick flick is P.S. I Love You. I ugly cry every time I watch it. Sweet baby jesus, that last letter she gets makes me lose it every single time. On a side note, I would totally sit on Gerard Butlers face
