well hypochandria, is that the word?, is a thing that exists.
for various psychological reasons people feel or imagine themselves to have symptoms of non-physical origen.
one of the problems with trying to dismiss this as an over active imagination,
is that it is not unusual for actual physical symptoms and actual physical illnesses to develop as a result.

yes that really and truly actually does happen.
that doesn't make it a primary cause of anything though.
but it does happen.
