January 6 was a violent poke in the eye for American democracy no matter how many factoids and excuses the right vomits after the fact.

The stolen election was quite a bit more than a poke in the eye for American democracy. It was treason, no matter how much denial the deep state vomits after the fact.

It was proven over 60 times that it wasn't stolen. That satisfies me and anyone else who's not in denial themselves.

Proven that it was stolen is more like it. Just because the courts are afraid to rule on the evidence doesn't change the facts.

Apparently there's no quick fix for denial either.

The latest count is that the “stolen election conspiracy theory” has been debunked 6.022 x 10 to the 23 times.

    The election was not stolen.

Only thing stolen was Trump's expectation of being made president for life.

Quit pushing the stolen election crap, it's an outright lie.

Oooh, the magic Avagadro's number. Maybe it's been renamed as the Trump number now.

Having never heard of Avagadro's Number previously led me to find this information from Wikipedia:

The Avogadro constant, commonly denoted NA[1] or L,[2] is the proportionality factor that relates the number of constituent particles (usually molecules, atoms, or ions) in a sample with the amount of substance in that sample. It is an SI defining constant with an exact value of 6.02214076×1023 reciprocal moles.[3][4] It was named after the Italian scientist Amedeo Avogadro by Jean Perrin in 1909. It was popularized by Stanislao Cannizzaro who advocated Avogadro's work at the Karlsruhe Congress in 1860, four years after his death.[5]

The numeric value of the Avogadro constant expressed in reciprocal moles, a dimensionless number, is called the Avogadro number.[1] In older literature, the Avogadro number is denoted N[6][7] or N0,[8][9] which is the number of particles that are contained in one mole, exactly 6.02214076×1023.[3]

The Avogadro number is the approximate number of nucleons (protons and neutrons) in one gram of ordinary matter. The value of the Avogadro constant was chosen so that the mass of one mole of a chemical compound, expressed in grams, is approximately the number of nucleons in one constituent particle of the substance. It is numerically equal (for all practical purposes) to the average mass of one molecule (or atom) of a compound in daltons (unified atomic mass units); one dalton is 1/12 of the mass of one carbon-12 atom. For example, the average mass of one molecule of water is about 18.0153 daltons, and one mole of water (N molecules) is about 18.0153 grams. Thus, the Avogadro constant NA is the proportionality factor that relates the molar mass of a substance to the average mass of one molecule.[10]

Not sure how this relates but I am amused...

It was fiction--a pretext for Trump's unsuccessful power grab. Yes, I'd call it treason. And people who fell for it, especially those who continue to, are definitely not well upstairs. The trolls who deliberately continue to circulate the falsehood are mostly political operatives, domestic or foreign, who may be sane but mean us no good.

We should come up with a term for the mental illness suffered by those who continue to believe Trump's bullshit. Trumpitosis? Trumpititus? Trumpophrenia? Orange God Disorder? Whatever you'd call it there appears to be no quick fix, logic has no effect on it.

    I say it's not a lie.

The evidence of vote tampering is way more than enough to establish the truth.

Perhaps, but it's also a parallel. Mentally ill people must first face reality and realize they need help, whether it's through counseling or medication. People who still believe the election was stolen must face reality and realize it wasn't. But they will not accept that as reality, convinced that the system itself is rigged. That's mass paranoia, a mental illness fed by Trump's lies. Cult members must be deprogrammed.
    There is no quick fix.

There’s tampering with elections by way of gerrymandering and voter suppression that really has an impact…Wisconsin, Tennessee, Montana, Michigan etc. That’s why there’s a flurry of super majorities in State legislatures. Outright election fraud is much less common and more an artifact of fanatical Republicans than Democrats. I guess there’s something in the Republican DNA that abhors a fair election (democracy).
