most of that is pretty much what my father believed and how he raised me. or at least what i thought he believed and intended. though i could never be entirely sure, and now that he's long gone, i'm still not.

for myself, the avoidance of causing harm, regardless of what anyone tries to say that is or isn't, that's really the number one and only morality.

as for beliefs, i don't believe in the need for anything to be infallible, nor in hierarchy being a default condition of the universe, but i do believe the existence of things no one knows anything about, to be virtually inevitable. simply because new things continue to be discovered all the time, and i see no reason to expect they will ever stop continuing to be.

I know that this is what you espouse. To be absolutely certain of avoiding harm, do not interact with the world in any sense. Harm is often taken or claimed where none is intended or anticipated. The moral effort is how to be truly helpful. Give to them who ask. Claim no offense as you yourself are harmed in being offended. Offer no defense as this leads to someones defeat. Be of open heart and mind toward all things. Respect that we all share our creature hood our father sun and our mother earth that our days may be long in the land.

 

I think that's universally good , and dancing within that a religion may be known by its art . Little
