Before I go into my story, I am interested in any personal expeiriences similiar to this, or any information how to find out more about this. A few years ago, psychedelics were introduced into my life. After doing several different kinds, there will be one night, and one experience I will never forget. I was at a friends house, there were four of us, and we were all sitting in my living room listening to music and reading some rediculous childrens book. I got up to get a glass of water, and as soon as i did, something seemed to change. I could all the sudden start hearing what my friends were saying in the other room. But the crazy thing is, I already thought we talked about this before I left for water. It may seem like some kind of deja vu kind of experience, or maybe my brain was now just registering it. But for anyone I have talked to about it, it is the most mind bending experience I have ever endured. It felt like pure madness has entered my brain. It went on for about 5-10 minutes, I had to step outside, and then it passed. After that night, my friends never believed me on the whole thing. Saying it was part of the trip, and to get over it. So I did, till last weekend. I was with one of my friends from that night, and we tried something new. We were all having a great time, when my friend just grabs his head and looks at me. "Legocy, I understand, I feel like im going fucking insane. You guys are saying everything i knew you would say well in advance" Its hard to explain for anyone who hasnt been through it, but everyone I have personally talked to said it feels like insanity or madness. Im just looking for anyone's personal story or information on anything similiar to this. thanks for reading
Thought loop? You have a response to a certain situation and call it "A", then situation B, C, D and E happen, but you're still stuck in the "A" situation, in an eddy of thought, which then crystallises B, C, D and E back into situation A - because as far as your minds concerned, B to E haven't happened yet. That's my theory for shrooms anyway, the way it happens is a lot more "liquid" than acid.. hence the "eddy" analogy. Although I haven't experienced it on acid, I can almost see the one thought fractalising, and your mind going through each repeated pattern of the fractal, so it seems like the same thing happening over and over, just differently. But hey, who fuckin' knows. It does happen though, fairly often.
I've experienced strong impressions of deja vu and synchronistic events while on Psychedelics as well as feeling powerful connections to others, but what you are describing sounds more like mind reading or telepathy, which I can't say I've experienced. I can entertain some of those far out concepts but I also tend to seek a more rigid scientific explanation to phenomena like that. I'll offer up that it may be a form of confirmation bias.
I've had the experience a few times during LSD trips, though I don't know the word for it. Somebody had said exactly what I was thinking, just started talking about it. Which was strange, as he was never really a guy to talk about time being an illusory concept.
