Is the family unit for you? (Continuation of "are your children really yours")

Based on all the comments about being a father in a family and finding out that your kid isn't your kid, and others that have had sex with married women, and married women that have sex with other men; my question is this. As a human race are we really meant to be a monogamous family unit OR should we each go thru life simply enjoying ourselves and have sex with whoever wishes to join us? Because so many marriages fail and so many kids get hurt. When I was 22 I went for a vascectomy and was told no, go home and to grow up because someday you will want a family. They were wrong. I had a great time living my life and having sex with many, many willing women, life was perfect. Then one got pregnant and refused an abortion. That shit sucked. So that said, think about it. What is, in your mind the correct thing VS. what is a learned behavior that we seem to fall into. And which one is better for you? We didn't sign a contract to keep the world populated.
