nah. its just what i like to call "a middle school drug." past 8th grade, you should have a good base for getting better, more "pertaining to actual psychoactive effects" drugs, and you should ditch dxm for pot, acid, coke, or whatever suits you

I wish dxm was available other than in cold medicine form, i feel that part is kinda scummy, the stealing or buying tons of robotussin part. I think everybody is different, I personally love DXM, and hate it at the same time because I get to wrapped up in it. I think if a person can have the life they want doing whatever drug, than the drug isnt scummy, but that is hardly the case.

I've tried my fair share of psychedelics, and I still hold DXM with high regard. I'll agree that its not for everybody. Some people do not enjoy its effects, and some unfortunate people lack specific enzymes needed to metabolize DXM properly.

Those of us who enjoy it know exactly how special it really is.

Just because DXM is sold as a cough medicine and technically a 'legal high' does not mean it is a shitty drug. It needs to be treated with as much respect as any other.

Ok, you guys are not getting the point here. Just because it's easy to get and kids do it doesn't mean that it is just a kiddie thing to do. It's a drug, just like anything else you take to get high. Isn't the whole point of doing drugs to do your own thing and do what you want to do? Stop fucking judging people and drugs, because by doing so you are getting out of touch with the whole drug scene. Do what you want to do, but don't go on preaching about how one drug is "better" or "cooler" than another. You may enjoy getting whacked out on meth, while someone else prefers DXM, it's just life. I remember a thread on the opiates subforum about how people can take as many oxys as they want, but as soon as they start using H, they are ridiculed. So what, we can sit around and take as much acid, eat as many shrooms as humanly possible, but as soon as we eat a few coughgels we are just another "scummy noob?" WTF guys, where the hell are your brains? Fact is, shrooms, LSD and DXM are all hallucinogens, just like hydro, oxy and H are all opiates. Just because someone likes to do DXM doesn't in any way mean that they are a kid, or a nooob, or scummy, it just means they like to use DXM. So can you all just stop judging people for what drugs they take? The reality of the situation is that 99%, if not 100% of the people on this thread have taken drugs, so we can all get off our high-horses and just deal with the fact that people enjoy different drugs. Stop ridiculing each other, because we are all pretty much in the same boat.

I never liked DXM as much as acid and shrooms it always made me feel like shit.

In my younger days I drank 3 big bottles of robo in about 10 min, I felt like shit and everytime I stood up I felt too dizzy to walk for about 18 hours I had to sit. No possitive feelings or anything, just felt like I had the flu. Some people swear by it, but it never did anything for me.

Maybe it was the MASSIVE amount of DXM you took that made you feel like shit. Maybe if you took a little less, you woulda had a better time, just throwin' that out there.

I take usually 1800-2400 mg two times in a week... I really love this shit... It's my favorite one drug! It really, can let me flow away from this planet...

 

I love DXM. However, I hate Zicam. The first time I did it, it was fine. The next time, all that happened was I got really hot and had hardly any euphoria. Also, maybe its just me, but the fact that it kicks in so fast gives it a thumbs down in my book.

As you can see from my sig, I prefer the robo gels. They take a bit to kick in, but when they do, it always gave me a smooth trip due to the fact that they kick in gradually.

Zicam, on the other hand, hits me so hard so quickly, and ruins my trip to be honest.

Also I should note that the second time I did Zicam, I took 2 bottles, which equals to 1080 mgs of DXM. Yet all the times I have taken robo gels, whether it be 20 or 80, I've always had a good trip.

 

This poll sucks. there are so many options in between the yes no maybe.

weed, speed, alcohol, coke, dxm, cigarettes, ecstacy & opiate comedowns, bad trips, caffeine... these all come with scummy experiences. that would make this whole forum scummy

id say anyone who takes tripple c's is quite scummy themselves.

cough syrup is very scummy.. but not while in the depths of a good zone. only when chucking up or crunching in the foetal position in cramps.. or straight after drinking in.

taking it a few times a week sounds pretty scummy
but so can smoking weed every day

 

The cough syrup argument isnt exactly too valid. While it tastes horrid, keep in mind that there are perscription cough syrups too containing codeine and hydrocodone and those 2 drugs are considered accepted in the drug world.

Also lets keep in mind that dxm is a synthetic opiate. And the fact that it is otc should not make people put it down. Hell, many illegal drugs used to be legal back in the day (lsd, cocaine, and some im probably forgetting). Also, in some places codeine is otc and yet that is more widely accepted than dxm despite the fact that it is rather weak and I find dxm to be alot better.

But hey, its a matter of opinion. I wont knock anyone for saying dxm is bad, but some people need to come off the "its scummy because its otc or legal" bandwagon.
