i believe prayer is a way of connecting with your ethereal self...
    which is (imo) God.

If one has faith in the vehicle one uses to reach God, then imo, prayer has no limitations in power.

    Is it effective, or, affective?

To effect something would be to cause a physical change in something, wheras like.. Affection... is this something blowing kiss at you or something I mean what's going on here?

If you believe it works it may very well work. If not it probably won’t.

And even if you think you're right, you're still wrong because of the dictionary. Haha.

It depends if you are highly religious.

I was feeling down in the dumps because some folks were teasing me about being a little person. I went to church and prayed to St Louis O Bisbo who is the patron saint of little people. The next thing, I found a dollar in the street! So yes praying is effective!

Once, when I was a teenager, I had really really really explosive painful diarrhea of the worst variety. I was in so much pain and discomfort - so I prayed. It was the only time I ever prayed in my life. The explosive diarrhea eventually stopped... so... there is a God - I guess?

  13. It wasn't effective in my experience but just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it's not possible to help others. c:

    the unknown is not empty,
but why do humans project their assumptions,
on a universe they have no right to own,
    and never can nor will?

I think it can be effective. Whether it is answered by who is being prayed to or not.

The belief that it'll work could be behind it's power.

I think sometimes prayers are answered and other times it's about belief

the universe responds when it feels like it.
so does a feral stray cat.

the sparrows on your head may be numbered,
but what's a god to do, when billions of people are making mutually contradictory requests?

I am an agnostic. I doubt about the existance of god but I am scared of commiting suicide. If God exists, I will be burning in hell for good.

affective: relating to moods, feelings, and attitudes.

effective: it does what it's intended to do.
