JFK was the best presidential speaker IMO. I'd put FDR a close second. Can't wait to see Obama tomorrow.
Nothing Obama's spoken of has had the emotional resonance of Martin Luther Kings speechs. Maybe when something really big happens during his presidency if he can really move people... Martin Luther King was as much of a communist as Lucille Ball.
It's funny how people use the word communist in a negative way. Specially when this communism ideology is not put into practice.
:cheers2: Only in the United States of America. And I always thought the whole commie paranoia was a bit of an exaggeration
Yea, wasn’t it great growing up during the cold war when the russians were at par with the U.S., and at anytime we only 10 minutes away from complete nuclear annihilation :cheers2: Hotwater
Hahaha.... the communists were funded by the West, from Wall Street and London. This is documented fact laid out perfectly in Dr. Antony Sutton's works.
The average person does not know what communism is. It was funded into existence by people who are commonly thought of as capitalists. Yes, people scoff at the word communism because they don't know what it means.
Yeah but the real battle of Stirling was not this bad ass charge Hol hold hold pick ud the pikes as depicted. It was guerilla(sp?) warefare where they picked off the English as they crossed a bridge, a much less dramatic victory. But still a Scottish Hero.
Both MLK and Obama give rather shitty speeches, yet people are usually inspired by really shitty stuff. Pretty smart politics, you can't ever get too intellectual with the crowds... hell... ask Joe Biden if you want a prime example.
MLK Jr. gave a great speech :cheers2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEMXaTktUfA I should have expected that statement from a guy whose greatest leader and orator was herod the great Hotwater
