Maybe it's because they enjoy being irresponsible with their guns... Thus the whole "they want to take my guns" response when somebody mentions background checks.

To putting up the number deaths related to drugs and guns as somehow to show that easy access to guns is not so bad because the numbers of those related to drugs is higher it a huge indication of people missing the point

To me neither figure is an indication of a healthy society and both are problems that should be addressed.

The thing is many on the right are opposed to those things that could deal with them – such as gun control and increased spending in public services.

 

But is it your priority – because it seems to me from your posts that your priority is to keep the status quo, while only playing lip service to that goal?

 

NO I do not agree. A drug over-dose is an accidental death, not a homicide.

So what you are telling me is that the out of work coal miners in West Virginia(the ones trump promised nonexistent jobs to) can get by on their own, and the farmers that trump gave subsidies to can get by on their own. If the farmers can get by on their own why do they need subsidies? You don’t know what the hell you are talking about.

Trump is their chief maker upper, huh? You just reminded me when Trump and Pence gave all that money to keep a refrigeration company in Indiana. The company took the millions and still went to Mexico. In Wisconsin they never got the jobs promised by Trump. And getting back on track, Trump's supporters did carry guns on their belts when the entered the Senate Chambers.
