It only seems like that on the surface, if you dig deeper you'll find there's a great level of intellect put to use in these parody threads. I think what we're seeing here is really forward thinking and which new thread of this kind our minds are being challenged to look at things from a brand new perspective. It's simply a lack of understanding due to a low Intelligenz-Quotient.

People post about everything under the sun here, including sticking every fruit and vegetable know to man up their ass, and sex acts that I've never even heard of before. While I'm not especially keen on that, whatever, I'll just not read or post on those threads.

Why not just live and let live? As long as there are not so many parody threads that they crowd out other threads, I don't see what the problem is. Imho, it's infinitely preferable to 50-150 people logged on, but who have nothing to say to each other. Post whatever you want, and let others post whatever they want too.

And it's fine to post a thread bitching about the parody threads too, I just don't see the need to be so uptight.

Fine, it's clever. But "satire done right" just strikes me as cold, malicious, and worst of all, not funny.

I'll cast my lot with the goofy crowd, and you folks who can turn a lump of coal into diamond over a weekend can flex your intellectual muscles all you want.
