The head is seperated from the body in half a second, which is impressive. Can one feel pain after his head is seperated from his body?
There are records, which I do believe, of severed heads recognizing people whose heads were not severed. Psychologically, it's a total mindfuck.
i think the brain is supposed to survive for like 10 seconds after a beheading. if that's true, it's probably a pretty miserable 10 seconds.
I was looking at my veins last night and it made me think of how slitting your wrists would be the worst way to kill yourself. Ugh. Makes me all cringey just thinking about it (Disclaimer, i'm not suicidal, just really morbid)
It might be a euphoric ten seconds, but with a sense of unease. I'm the same way, Mel. Morbid. Did you know you don't slit across the wrists, but down the arm? *shudder*
Yeah that's what had me feeling really weird about it, just imagining cutting a long vertical line through my vein
Movies depict decapitation as a quick death where the body lies motionless immediately after the beheading. This is inaccurate. Have you ever seen a chicken with its head cut off? Humans do the exact same thing as chickens. Flail about. This is because the nerves get shocked being immediately detached from the central nervous system command center, that is your brain. If your body is flailing about, it's likely still feeling pain until rigor mortis sets in.
But your brain isn't receiving that pain. Yet your brain is left to its thoughts, and, somehow, it knows. And your face looks around, and it smiles.
When I was a teen I read a science magazine once, inside science or some shit, and anyway they were writing an article about decapitation. So somewhere in the middle east they were going to cut someones head off and they the doctors said yes this is going to happen but we want to know if you're still consciously aware so when we raise a hand we want you to blink twice, or something. Anyway so apparently they did and they put the head up on a table and it was still consciously aware blinking at the doctors/scientists for minutes. Kinda of freaked me out cause I always thought at the stage in my life that a head cut off that's the end of it.
Your brain would still be recieving pain on its end. Yeah you cut the body off, but the your head still has nerve endings that have been severed, so you wouldn't feel your body but you'd feel your spinal chord or whatever, probably.
We aren't talking about on scale of 1-10 how bad would the pain be. It's like once your wet, you're wet. You can't jump in a pool and get any Wetter. Well pain is pain you either feel something or you don't. Irminsul's Life Agenda 101
only one way to find out , chop someones head and ask it a question . don't know if you'll get an answer though
