Sick, I'd go to that parade with all my knowledge and useless facts about Panzers.

 

Unfortunately this is more a display of everyday nationalism rather than fascism. Although likely heading in that direction.

 

i think we've become so hooked on entertainment in the last couple of decades
that we subconsciously (and some more consciously) just want our politics to be more entertaining.
i really think people are starting to vote based on what outcome they think will be most entertaining.

How much you want to bet he, at first, insisted on our nuclear arsenal being paraded down the street.

I don’t live in the DC area so I won’t be going. But if I did I would participate in a massive peace demonstration along the route singing Imagine and Give peace a chance.

 

is this demonstration actually happening, or would it just be if you lived in DC?

 

I took an oath when I enlisted, back in the days when Trump had heel spurs, that I'd protect this country from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Now, honestly, I wasn't held to it because of the "so help me God" part. I'm an Atheist. But if I were to feel it necessary to be held to that oath, I guess I'd need to do something about the biggest threat to this country right now. And that enemy is very domestic. He's in the White House.

 

in all honesty, and i've discussed this with people offline, Trump is one of the most un-american human beings i've ever seen. so it is my genuine belief that a true patriot would try to remove him from power. he shits on freedom of speech, he clearly does not believe all men and women are equal, and he invites foreign powers to fiddle with the democratic process in his favor. he's unscrupulous and a sell-out.

 

Not that I’ve heard but I hope some people organize one.

 

I don't understand why Trump can just decide to use taxpayer money to pay for a 90 million dollar shit parade. We don't seem to have any say at all where our money goes. But I suppose the people that live in countries that have parades like this never do.

 

Technically he cant just use the money, he illegally siphoned it from the national park service

But there's no accountability so he'll just get away with it

 

That is awful.
