Just because McKenna (et all) thinks DMT might be responsible for dreaming doesn't mean it feels anything like dreaming. DMT feels like everything in your head, and everything you've ever felt, is bombarding you right in the face all at once. When I first felt it I was suprised, it wasn't nearly as much a "new" feeling as feelings and thoughts I'd felt before just approaching me very fast and all at once. DMT feels kind of like when you get so high on weed (sativa/headies) that it just becomes completely overwhelming and trippy, except where weed has this dull brain-dead kind of high, DMT has very light-headed sharp sort of high. But most of all, it feels like when something all of a sudden fits together and you realize something really big, and you're just like OH MY GOD!!!! Except the feeling just stays there constantly, and is like OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD! That's the best description I can possibly ever provide. Note this is only how it feels for me, maybe it feels different for you.
"But most of all, it feels like when something all of a sudden fits together and you realize something really big, and you're just like OH MY GOD!!!! Except the feeling just stays there constantly, and is like OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD!" haha yeah that's how i have imagined it.
Yes, I must admit, I did not break through... another time, another place, another day. I'm waiting untill I'm more ready (not that one can ever be completely ready for something like that).
