what are the overall christian vs. non-christian numbers? there's bound to be more christians having abortions just because they celebrate christmas, think jesus was a nice guy, and therefore consider themselves christian.
well now, if you play with these enough, they're all pretty sensible. the sabbath one forces you to take a day off to just recuperate, that's always good, considering our circadian rhythms. honoring your parents, even if they were horrible fuckups, teaches you the spirit of truly letting go and forgiving the two people in the world who most likely did you the most harm. coveting your neighbor's ass, well, i have a hard time with that one. her's is lovely, and i got native american butt, which isn't specifically considered attractive among your average american population....but i shouldn't waste time wishing for what i can't afford to pay for yet and seriously, the worship of idols CAN be interpreted to mean anything material that takes away from your best esoteric inclinations: don't worship money, women, little statues and candles. but that doesn't mean you can't enoy them or use them as tools. just don't worship your wrench, that's silly. is the term Devil's Advocate applicable to me if i'm defending christian dogma?
oh, yeah, and i don't think religions are necessarily under attack. they're under observation. just like in the hospital, that can be pretty uncomfortable. and as with anyone who values their body and doesn't want the doctor to find anything wrong with it, adherents to these faiths are a bit nervous. i know how many times i've gone to the doctor feeling perfectly fine and ended up terribly ill. whether i really was or the doctor just wanted my money, i can't really say. i'm not the doctor.
"America is prosperious because we were destined to be. America is the Babylon the Great of Jeremiah 50 and 51 and Revelation 18. And though we tower over all we will in the end fall." thats not fair! all great empires fall. history teaches us so, not the bible.
"Forces" you...errr...I don't like it already. Honor is deserved. Respect the individual, not some title. No, the good can be achieved without the dogma. I fail to respect or honor any institution that deems itself my "master". You can have all the esoteric mumbo jumbo, I'll stick with what is.
Yes I agree, but yet we have to accept them as Christian because that is their belief. Who are we to cherry-pick through the American's we think are truely christian or not? They consider themselves christian, they believe in God and Christ, and believe they are saved and going to heaven, and so they are Christian.
Good point, Sera. They consider themselves Christians, just like the witch burners. And who is to debate them? Because the Bible is given to "interpretations" and mysticism...not common sense.
Do the christians think they are the first to come up with social laws such as "Thou shalt not kill" or "Honor they father and mother"? All of these things can and have existed seperate of christianity, and in many places and times throughout the world, even in places that had never been touched by christianity. A person does not need the dogma of religion to perpetuate basic social ethics.
I agree with this very much so, but you must agree that the faithful Christians have had a lot to do with our stability and therefore our prosparity? On a side point, one main problem that Islamic countries have is that they are not united like the America has been. Even though their countries are largly desert, they could unite and pool their resources. They could us oil money and change sea water to freshwater. They could have a great bounty of crops, but instead they stay divided for the sake of their petty religious sects. The terrorists need to be made to realize this. The answer is not to attack religion(there is a real reason why every culture has a religion), but to attack religions. Lets Get Together. Hay, I've heard that somewhere before!
First of all, who are you to speak for all Christians? Other than that, I agree very much with what you are saying. It is basically the same thing that I have been saying. The Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule, might as well be named eleven great ideas. But instead certain people have a hissy fit because the Christian label is attached to them. There is evidence that Jesus traveled to places like India and China to study their ways. He formed a very well thought out stew of theology. Gospels known as Gnostic Gospels are said to have a very strong Far East influence in them. The Gnostic Gospels were not included in the New Testament Bible. The Biblical Gospel that was almost not included in the Bible was the Gospel of John. It is said to have the strongest Far East influence of the four Gospels in the Bible.
But have you studied the Babylon prophecies.... doubt it.... because even most Christians don't know about them.
Believe me, I have no misconceptions on this issue. And the God of the Bible has already spoken about this in both the Old and New Testaments. Jesus Christ has stated, that no murder will inherit the Kingdom of God. Another words, those who justify murder are not Christians. And you are right, I would claim they are not Christians and I don't care what church they go to, but Christ made the claim first, I'm just agreeing with Him.
that is prolly coz the americans have been left alone for a long ass time to get to a stage where they are 'united'. the Islamic countries have unfortunately been the victims of western european imperialism for over three generations and still find themselves bein messed with but ofcourse, the "free world" will leave the bedouins in the desert while they pool their resources, usin the oil money to change sea water to freshwater and enjoy a great bounty of crops and unite (which would not pose a problem to the so-called sponsors of freedom around the world!) you see that's how you witness the birth of a terrorist. s/he's been a victim and we all have our ways to deal with shit. rather than attackin his defense mechanism, why do we not attack the offense that's responsible
Let me guess you believe all God's are the same? And one will get to heaven no matter what God they believe. And how am I a "hypocrit".... still trying to figure that one out? Thank you for your time.
O Yes one other thing.... YOU NEVER EXPLAINED THE BABYLON PROPHECIES ....yet you will go right ahead and toss America being Babylon right out the window.....
Well, I'm far from any kind of doomsday cult. The things I talk about here are simply in the Bible. Most of the Christian churches never talk about this. Most churches appear to only be interested in keeping a rathered simple message up front, which does little for anyone. I have studied these prophecies for years, but only in recent years have I come to this understanding. For me, this has been earth shaking. Also I have found that many Christians from all over the world are beginning to discover the very same information about America, that I have discovered. It's almost as if at this time, are eyes are being opened. I spoke with a christian man not long ago, and he told me one morning he got out of bed and as soon as he got up, Revelation 18 came into his mind, and he said at that very moment, he knew that Revelation 18 was speaking about America being Babylon. There is much on line about America and Babylon now. When I discovered this, there was almost nothing on line, now there is a lot. It's all part of Bible prophecy, and if you want to be an informed christian, this is a subject you can't ignore.
