Says who?? It's easy for the government and media to say that a bunch of Iraqis pissed off about their country being destroyed, fighting against outside occupation, are "al-Qaeda." I mean, the words al-Qaeda are such trigger words in the minds of so much of the dumbed-down public that it serves to marginalize nationalistic Iraqis as being the same "terrorists" who allegedly attacked the US on 9/11. Because we're fighting "al-Qaeda," then the war must go on, because, after all, we're rooting out them evil doers that attacked us. And even if al-Qaeda is in Iraq (considering "al-Qaeda" is nothing more than an umbrella name they give to various militant groups in the Middle East), they were not there before the US invaded.
