I think LOL's been around as long as the internet has and I still refuse to say it. If something's funny enough to genuinely make you laugh out loud, then take the time to let the other person know with an appropriate number of hehes or hahas. When I see someone say LOL, all it says to me is that they couldn't be bothered to think up a decent response....
