Gotta be honest about it Mally. It sounds deeply disturbing. You should remind him in no uncertain terms what being a man is about before he ends up doing a Frank Maloney on you. Check under his bed for any disturbing materials. Does his porn collection have shit like Jamie Oliver cookbooks and Gok Wan fashion tips hidden inside it? If so, you may have found the problem too late. Here's an action plan. Saturday you get him up early, down the pub, start a good fight. Followed by a hot Vindaloo (especially helpful for advanced cases), then doing a runner. Finally, off to Anfield for the match. I'm sure he'll enjoy that. :-/ (OK forget the bit about Anfield.. )
Orison that joke went over my head for a minute.Ironing for clients can be a good money earner.I heard about a guy who Irons for folks every day and makes a living out of it.
Just make sure you put it on the right setting, and keep the iron moving. I've ruined clothes by not paying attention to what I'm doing. Fortunately I don't worry about ironing my clothes anymore.
hasn't your friend ever heard of a dryer? That's how I iron all my clothes. Its not the most energy efficient way in terms of my power meter but it is quite energy efficient in terms of me popping my wrinkled clothes in the dryer and going back to bed for 10 minutes.
I did not know people ironed anymore. When I was a kid it was one of my jobs around the house. In those days we hung all the laundry out on the line and none of them were the non wrinkle kind, so almost everything got ironed. I have not ironed clothes in over 40 years. I do have a board and an iron but would only use it if I were working on a patchwork quilt.
i iron things i wash that get wrinkled.....like cotton and silk.....am I going to go out wearing wrinkled clothes to a nice function? I don';t send things out to the dry cleaners....I do everything myself. There is no shame in that. ironing is relaxing work, also....
I haven't ironed in forever, but I also learned at a young age. In the south people iron a lot...also office/work clothes/blouses, etc. often need to be ironed or steamed. Recently I learned that I can steam my clothes in the dryer, so like Meliai that's what I do. I don't have to do that very often though, most of my clothes look fine without need to be prepared before I wear them.
ironing today, is mostly not needed, unless you're sewing something to a particular shape, then ironing the fabric to that shape first, makes this easier and a better result likely.
I Know A Lady Who When She Was First Married Used To Iron Everything Her Husband Wore, Including His Socks, Underwear, Hanky...Etc, She Stopped When She Realised People Were Sniggering Behind Her Back...... :gossip: Cheers Glen.
this is a fine example of one of those things, where making gender have anything to do with it, makes no sense at all.
I loathe ironing. Lucky I don't have too much to iron, really. Black shirts live hanging up in wardrobe. Black pants live beside them. Black jackets beside them. Black leggings and underwear in my drawer. It's like, I'll have to be at a charity event to even remotely think about wearing something I'll need to iron.
