really? cause i heard that they've developed a labial scan for women and a penile scan for men and in the next year or two the police will be pushing for the authority to administer such identification techniques with standard pull overs, to keep everything well documented. apparently this technology is cutting edge, and is more adequate a form of identification than either fingerprints or iris scanning.
I think most people are willing to give up certain individual privileges if they assume that it is going to be for the greater good. Most people believe that by giving up their freedom, they gain something more valuable and are as a result more secure. And that's what all the ladder climbing people at my work were saying to me when I was arguing with them - they said that they would gladly have their irides scanned because it was a security measure, nothing more. I however, don't see what makes it more secure than punching into work with a badge at various places in the building.
