Iran Kidnaps 15 British Soldiers on Purpose

The situation seems to be really hazy and I am glad no one has hit the red button at this point.

 

This has really annoyed me over the last week, first reports were that the boat containing the 15 sailors had travelled into iranian waters and that was the reason for their 'arrest' as iran shows us coadinates of their position. But I just watched the news and the Naval ship where they had departed from has proof they were NOT in iranian waters when they were arrested, meaning they've done nothing wrong, so it's now a kidnapping. Iran showed false coardinates.

why are they keeping hold of them and do the realise how bigger of a problem they could be creating. Any ideas on why they're holding them? blackmail? I dread to think what the result of this could be but I'm personally offended that they think they can just kidnap the British.

On another note, they showed the sailors eating and they've forced the woman to wear a headscarf, that's a fucking disgrace, she isnt that religion, so what makes people think they can force (most likely a christian woman) to wear this item of clothing??? It's equally as bad as making a muslim woman take of her clothes and dress like a christian. They also have Iran flags parded round the eating table as if theyre trying to play with the nerve of the british.

 

Exactly. Why would they have kidnapped them from iraqi waters? What possible reason could they have for doing that? The awnser is, no possible reason at all. The only logical reason that Iranian troops would take british prisoners is if they were in Iranian territory. Have you any idea how easy it would be for british engineers to falsify the GPS logs from the ship? It defies belief that after everything britain and the USA have been caught out blatantly lie-ing to thier own people and the rest of the world about that some people still swallow this tripe, do you not think it's a massive insult to your inteligence?

 

the germans were hovering around the polish border in 1939 , military excercises apparently then magically they said that the polish had attacked them. poor old polish, then they got attacked by germany, course this kind of history is lost on the poles for now they have invaded iraq with the americans.

obviously the government of poland never learnt anything from the germans or the russians. don't invade other peoples countries its not very nice and it will always bite you on the arse.

i'm surprised iran hasn't fired upon the "allies" floating off the coast, any fleet is almost certainly about to launch an attack. look at the iraqis, the un got them to get rid of their rockets and when they did the americans invaded. the moral of the story? if warships from other countries start appearing in your waters open fire, land the first blow. imagine if the poles had invaded germany by passing the germans and attacking civillian areas of germany, the invasion would have been called off. the israelis did this in 1967 by bombing the egyptians aircraft, they delivered the first blow. the japanese did this but they stuffed up, the fleet was for the most part out of port knowing the japanese were about to attack. maybe the japanese should have stuck to blowing up asia??

this is why the middle east is so tense now, each side knows to make the first strike may well decide the war. if the iranians figure they will lose, it is better to go down after landing a heavy blow than just being bombed out of existence without a whimper of resistance .

Those are the Iranians I was referring to in my original post. The Israeli media says that they have a high ranked official telling them that this probably why the Iranians kidnapped the soldiers (or at least one of the reasons). They want to trade them for those 5 Iranians. This will probably be done on the hush-hush anyhow unless negotiations fail.

 

This reminds me of the hostage crisis 1979. That dragged on until the end of the Carter administration, just hours before before Reagan was inaugurated.

Looks like the leader of Iran didn't do his scheduled appearance at the U.N. This latest arrest thing seems to have interrupted that.

Could this lead to a war between Iran and the U.S. which could lead to a Civil War in the U.S. sometime in 2008 which will lead to the 2015 Nuclear devastation of much of the world, Russia will bomb the U.S. by orders of one side of the Civil War while China annexes Japan, Korea and Taiwan??!!!!

But seriously the U.S. could use this incident as means to bomb Iran.

(1) As opposed to what the USA/Britain have done lately? Which of course makes perfect sense. No really.

(2) OK so British/American(do you notice a theme), media told you that USAUK military "produced" ({like steven spielberg produced ET?}(your words) GPS co-ordinates? Oh, wow I so didn't see that coming.

Watch this space. If Iran don't assasinate the "arch duke ferdiraned" within the next six months I (along with 82% of the world) will be very very surprised.

I think that they took more than 5. I've heard that two were released, but the rest are still in captivity.

 

Dunno if anyones mantioned this b4, but Iraq should be getting involved if Iran invaded their waters. And if some think a show of strength is needed then Iran should remember that in all probability 1 of our Trident subs with nukes at the ready will be VERY close by watching them. Iran should remember that you can only pull the tail of a lion a couple of times before it shows its teeth.

We have a lion right now this operating on the premise that it is all powerful and can do whatever it likes. A crazy lion can be taken down by a pack of jackals that are only worried about protecting their own pack. Especially a single lion operating on it's own. Jackalls are no less important in the scheme of the world than the handsome lion.

 

I saw interviews with British sailors that admitted they were in Iranian waters. Who to believe???? You Brit's really behind this excalation? I thought I heard your parliment giving Blair grief for his role in the previous instance/war. What now you going to be the patsies of the war mongers? Looks that way to me. Just how deep is Blair into Bush for favors?

Maybe British intelligence is faulty...hell the Bush administration can't be at fault. Someone else must have it wrong.

 

What part of it could be is that some hard-line elements in Iran took advantage of the fact that their government + the whole country was on Holiday for ages + will be until Monday so no one could really keep anyone in check. But I suppose we'll get more answers on Monday when the whole of Iran + its government etc is back at work.

Sure, most want peace, but with certain things, it can get blood boiling enough to have a lion give a tactical nuking if it thinks its needed, seeing as the U.K forces arn't so big. But personally, I hope Monday proves preductive + gets them released.

Lol, anyone can point a gun + tell them to say anything, it happened last time the Iranians took U.K hostages which was not too long back. So they weren't in Iranian waters as far as I can tell.

1 thing though, consider this, if those were American troops then Bush would have instantly invaded. At least Blair is trying for a peaceful outcome for now thankfully.

 

Today Iran told the EU to keep their nose out of it. Sounds to me like Irans got a case of bigshotitis, while holding 15 UK military and grandstanding.
Well heres a little idea to ponder (no nukes needed), Iran has one refinery to make gasoline for the entire country. And with that they run short by 10-15 million L. a day.
Simple plan, you get a few soliders for hire to go in a blow up the refinery, The US and the UK, set up a naval blockade to prevent any tankers from delivering any gasoline.
Then in a few days nobody driving their cars, trucks wont be delivering products.
The common everyday working stiff is going to start thinking they've got to do something with these idiots calling the shots....

Iran doesn't want to take on the US, the US wants to go to war with Iran. You want cheap gas at the expense of more innocent lives, I don't!

 

The last time Iran took hostages they already had a deal in the works with Reagan and Bush senior. Ever heard of Iran Contra scandals.

 

I wish all those Canadian Oil companies hadn't of sold out to the U.S.
