You can't touch the arguments so you go after me? You can't get the ball so you attack the man?

Getting fouled is no indictment of one's argument. I love getting fouled. Only the most sound arguments are evaded in favor of insults.

are u arguing that C02 is not infact a greenhouse gas despite Co2 levels having positive correlation with global temperatures.

while I agree that statistical correlation is not the be all end all, it can easily be shown that CO2 does act this way in the laboratory.

Does anyone here know that CO2 is heavier than air.

It usually ends up around our ankles, not up in the sky! Plants love it!

Well, frankly, I think you are an asshole. First you came in here to let us know how useless, dumb and time wasting black folks are. Now you're on about another issue that has been explained (and shown by links) about how 97% of scientists are right.. Next I'm sure it will be Obama and progressives. You've shown me who you are and how you operate. I would NEVER argue or give a person like you a modicum of respect ---AND-- I've given you way too much of my time as it is. So please don't take this personally--but --FUCK YOU.

    Adios, motherfucker.

He makes just as much use of insults and ridicule when he doesn't like what we have to say anyway. He is just a little sneaky about it.

Lets face it: he has come to a hippiesite to 'discuss' 1) that blacks are inferior as a race and 2) that more co2 in the atmosphere can't raise earth's temperature.. and he won't stop until people agree. :D
We are fully in our right to taunt him until he leaves. I think its best to just laugh at this troll..

    :D

On point one, I never said anything like that. You like to build strawmen, how cute. Quote me where I said anything even approaching "how useless, dumb and time wasting black folks are."

My contention is that there's reason to expect income equality to come to fruition anytime soon, considering the giant, increasing gaps in performances on math and science tests. The poorest white kids in the country (under $10,000 households) score significantly higher than black kids in families making $80,000 - $100,000 on the SATs. Asians are even more dominant, accounting for income and even biasing it in favor of African Americans. Once again, I implore you to consider the data. These are facts of which most people are completely ignorant. The income disparity will persist, and likely with it, crime rates and violence. It's better to know you're lost in the woods than to be blissfully ignorant, or worse yet... sure you know exactly what the fuck you're doing when you don't.

On point two, take it from Roy Warren Spencer, a climatologist, Principal Research Scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and the U.S. Science Team leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR-E) on NASA's Aqua satellite. He has served as Senior Scientist for Climate Studies at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center.
He is known for his satellite-based temperature monitoring work, for which he was awarded the American Meteorological Society's Special Award.

"In fact all skeptics that I know of that work in this business, ALL are part of that 97% because the 97% includes people who think humans have some influence on climate."

Dude, you are an asshole because of the way you post and you know it too.
You're trying to impress with statistics and youtube movies like nobody has tried that before. You are condescending as fuck. You're racist.
These are the reasons people quit giving you the benefit of the doubt. It's not because you make such a solid argument, it is because of your approach.

You're pathetic for wasting both your and our time like that.

Funny thing is, I'm a lefty. You guys think I'm a hardcore conservative or something. I believe gay people should have full rights and be able to marry. I'm not the least bit religious. I think women and men deserve equal rights and opportunities, though not forced equality of results. I think all races deserve equal rights and opportunities, though not forced equality of results. I hate big banks. I hate corporations. I hate war. I think banks and corporations are leading us into war for profit. I think some form of a living wage (socialism) will need to arise under the shadow of Technological Unemployment. I really fall to the left on every single issue.

You might try to paint me on the right for the following reasons.
    A. I admit there are measurable physical differences and mental differences between racial groups. I.E. NBA is 85% black, Engineering is dispraportionately asian.
    B. I am concerned about the rights of women in Muslim societies. I'm concerned about the rights of gays in Muslim societies. I'm concerned about the constant warring between Sunni and Shia. I think Sharia Law spreading anywhere is a bad thing. I think the less Sharia Law the better, but the LAST thing the US should do is instigate any kinds of conflicts with them. We should not be in Syria or Iran or Egypt.
    C. I think less government is for the best, considering the hijacking that's taken place by the aforementioned banks and corporations, of the politicians.

What do you guys think, am I unreasonable in the way I operate?

I think you copy pasted this, probably because you've been through this shit before :D
About the first line: no, you don't have to be conservative to be racist. And i don't give a shit what you say how you feel about gays or equality for all races in above post after we have read your stuff about blacks or how you subtely insult people here.
I think you are a hopeless troll that thrives on negative attention and frustrated convo partners.

“It is extremely likely that human influence on climate
caused more than half of the observed increase in global
average surface temperature from 1951 to 2010,” the draft
    report says.

You mean we might be responsible for as much as 0.3 degrees of warming in 50 years!? What was responsible for the other half of the warming? Would anyone show me why solar activity wasn't responsible for all 0.6 degrees?

This is still appeal to authority, though I definitely appreciate the effort. The IPCC is the authority you place your confidence in. I was right there with you a few years ago. I didn't ask them to explain how they justify these conclusions to justify carbon taxes. I didn't expect them to show me data. It turns out they are funded by groups at least as nefarious as the oil companies.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOyBfihjQvI

My only question at this point is, in the coming years, when it still hasn't gotten a degree warmer from 1998 levels, will you cling to this idea? If 2020 appears and we haven't seen a 1 degree rise, if 2030 comes and temperatures are stable, or dropping, will the standard reply become "well it was never about the temperatures anyway, look at all the crazy weather. There was a hurricane last month!"

Make some predictions! Put your money where your mouth is. Here are mine.
As CO2 levels surpass 500ppm we will not see mean global temperature rise more than 1 degree centigrade compared to 2015 mean global temperature.
As CO2 levels surpass 600ppm we will still not see mean global temperature rise more than 1 degree centigrade compared to 2015 mean global temperature.
As CO2 levels surpass 700ppm we will still not see mean global temperature rise more than 1 degree centigrade compared to 2015 mean global temperature.
As CO2 levels surpass 800ppm we will still not see mean global temperature rise more than 1 degree centigrade compared to 2015 mean global temperature.

Truth hurts huh bud. I believe what I say, and I'm highly interested in people who have trouble embracing reason. I'm fascinated by the topics on which logic is rejected. This is what political correctness is, the rejection of evidence. Say something politically incorrect and the response is "you can't say that!"

    "why not?"

    "those things just aren't said"

    "is it untrue?"

"it's just not politically correct, don't say it. There are some things whose truth we must not investigate"

Tell me the worst thing I've said and let's see if I can defend it. Convince me I'm a bad person.

It won't change much. I know why you call me sweatie. It is a subtile way to annoy and trigger people, so you can still hide behind your 'reasonable' image :p

I'm gonna quote myself for emphasis:

Don't wanna toot my own horn naturally but this is the hardest truth in this thread, homie.

A quick aside... the more malleable the mistake someone is making, the more likely I am to poke fun at it, because it is such a quick fix if the guilty party had a higher level of awareness. I would never poke fun at someone's big ears which they were born with, I'd be slightly more likely to sneer at someone's fat body which they developed. I'd never attack a mentally retarded individual for being unreasonable, I might very well attack someone with an IQ of 120 for being unreasonable. Not that they are responsible for a mistake in an original sin type of way, but that they are capable of doing so much better, and unlikely to break from there current equilibrium without some type of jolt, or triggered alarm. Shame, guilt, anger, embarrassment, are all fairly useless if not used as instructive tools. They're indicative that a better path is available, if only the affected party were inclined to acknowledge it.

I don't mean to needlessly needle you. My bad holmes. I'd prefer to stick to the data anyway. If anyone finds evidence... convincing graphs or charts do please post up.

It's not really about what I think-- I'm not a climatologist.
I only really know what I've read.

    Here's an article about it:

    http://www.skepticalscience.com/C02-emissions-vs-Temperature-growth.html

    And here's a graph:

So it looks like 1000ppm is 2 degrees, which is the internationally recognized maximum limit and probably won't be met under the current policies.

I hope the truth hurts and that you act upon it. Most important thing: we don't reject logic but your approach. You ARE condescending and kinda demanding. You cover it up/excuse it with reason. But it is not the reasonable parts we reject. We reject your approach and all those things you project on those who disagree with you. PC for instance is not our issue, you just try to put it like that.
About convincing you about being bad. No thnx, when I said i don't play along with your game i ment it. I play by my or the forum rules, not yours.

How can you blather about PC and talk about us not wanting to talk about a subject when we started out giving you the benefit of the doubt? Pages full of convo have been written about your so called controversial stuff before people concluded you were being an asshole :D
Try something else, homie. If you want to be taken seriously that is.
