    Dear hip community,

I've notice at least one other such research invite, so I hope that it's ok that I do so as well.

    Thanks for your support!

    Best,

    David de Jong
    University of Rochester

Researchers at the University of Rochester are seeking cohabiting couples who have been in a committed relationship for at least 6 months but less than 4 years to participate in a study.

The goal of this research is to investigate the associations between aspects of couples’ relationships and their sex lives.

The surveys ask about your thoughts and feelings about your romantic and sexual relationship, including questions about attraction, details of your sex life, sexual desire, sexual satisfaction, sexual function, and sexual fantasies.

    This study…
    -Is voluntary and confidential.
    -Follows couples over 8 months.
-Involves completing one 45-minute long questionnaire, then four 10-minute surveys on 4 consecutive Mondays. Six months later, you’ll complete another four 10-minute surveys on 4 consecutive Mondays, and then a final, 30-minute survey—that’s 10 surveys in total.
-Requires both partners to participate and complete surveys.
-Pays couples $60 if all surveys are completed.

For details, please follow the link below. On this page you will also be able to complete a brief questionnaire that will tell you if you and your partner are eligible to participate.

No problem, so long as these surveys serve a purpose.

I would think you could find this info out interviewing ppl in Rochester, no?

Or don't they have sex there?

    Hey peeps, make yourselves $60!

Although it does sound like a LOT of surveys! Why so many?

    Hi skip,

Believe it or not, recruiting for studies is pretty slow, even when we're lucky enough to be able to offer financial incentive.

Multiple surveys over time allows us to do much more interesting analyses than simply looking at a snapshot of a single timepoint. It's much more informative.

    Thanks for the interest!

    What about long-distance relationship couples?
