Hello all, my name is Kim. I'm 34 years old and live in Missouri. Hopefully someday I will be living elsewhere. I was married for 8 years until last year when I left my husband. I moved out for a year & now I am living with him again (in the basement this time) and it's only for financial reasons. We are still good friends so it works out okay. I just lost my job this week (YAY!) so I am unemployed, but I have another job lined up very soon. I have been a baker/cake decorator for over 12 years. Boring shit, I know.

I am also a singer in 3 bands, so music is pretty much the center of my life. If I'm not performing, I like to go hear live bands. I'm slowing learning guitar, and since my ex has a gazillion instruments lying around, I need to take advantage of the situation & PLAY THEM!!! The music I listen to is mostly 60's stuff, but I like Americana too, Gillian Welch, for example. I try to emulate her voice when I sing.

I am a pesco vegetarian and I love animals. I have 2 cats, a cockatiel, and a black dwarf bunny. I love warm weather and the beach and I aspire someday to live near the ocean. In the summertime, I am in the water 90% of the time. I love to swim & I love the water. My family have a couple of boats so in the summer I spend most of my time on the boat!

ah, I live in Gloucester... one of those little ol' hicktowns north of hampton roads.

 

Hi Micha! It means that I eat fish & dairy products, but no other meat.

 

Oooh thats great..
The biggest issue with me and eating meat is the conditions that they live in before they're sent to the slaughter.
Thats why i eat fish, because they are free in the river or ocean..

If there was a store or something around here where i could buy food that i'm sure that the animals were kept in good living conditions, then that would be perfect..
We actually bought a whole cow..or something like that..
too bad i dont eat beef..

 

My dad always does that. He buys them in halves and quarters from his friend. He also buys Buffalo in halves and quarters but it's reallllllllllllly expensive . It's all organic and free range stuff and he used to work with the guy who owns the farm back when we had a free range farm thing until the mid-nineties... long as you don't overdo it on tuna or swordfish, as they have a high mercury content. Also,, you tend to find those shrimp looking parasites on Striped Bass and Drum around the Chesapeake Bay... There's something with them, though. They aren't supposed to be good if they have those little shrimpy parasite things on them. I can't recall the proper name, for them, though. I used to know all of that stuff back when I fished all the time. Though, the only fish that don't have any parasites are tuna... Salmon are also a very clean fish.

 

by the way... we've been getting dead zones in the bay lately and all the menhaden are dying of oxygen just like what's happening due to the fertilizer runoffs from the mississippi in the gulf of mexico... it's nuts...

the parasites are called sea lice...and salmon is no longer free...it is all farmed....and if you don't live on the east coast, most of the atlantic salmon comes from the west coast and is dyed pink/red [well the meat is]

I love to t...ravel... last summer i went out to australia for a good 2/3 months
went all along the east coast. cains, brisbane, canberra, sydney, melbourne. It was amazing, i have family out there and stuff so i had places to stay. Worked out there also within my aunties hotel. Her hotel is infact a ski lodge, its up in Perisher, in the snowy mountains, fairly nearish to canberra... Was really good as i worked mornings and nights and boarded all day! Infact i tried skiing also but didnt feel right, i've always been a boarder. but anyway...

Brief description of myself: fairly longish brown hair, altho slightly dreaded and matted in areas. I have a load of hair wraps in my hair also... i've got a wide range of different coloured wool - all sorts you can imagine... so i tend to wrap my hair and do weird things with it. But currently its starting to dread. I've green eyes, i'm about 5ft 6... slim... nothing too interesting.
No tattoos... but piercings i have. Just ears (loads - top and bottom and middle) belly, nose... erm if i ever get to meet any of you then you can see for yourself... i shall be the one always smiling and looking fairly happy most of the time! )
