Hi! My name is Renee. I'm from Northeastern US and Im a sophomore in high school. I am so elated to have found this website. I sit on here for hours at a time reading.. mostly advice from the "old hippies." Living in a small town, I thought that there were few people around that had similar opinions as I do but after reading a lot of these posts it is SO reassuring to know that others support my ideas too. My family and most of the people in my hometown are conservatives and if I even bring up the subject of anti-war, gay marriage, etc. I feel like I am about to get crucified... but its worth it to know that I'm standing up for what I beleive in. I am really interested in public speaking, rallies, protests, etc.

I really enjoy attending concerts and listening to music. I enjoy almost any kind of music: jam bands, reggae, mariachi, rock, punk, country, ANYTHING. Although I dont always agree with the messages behind the music, I really just enjoy listening to everything.. although I do have my preferences.. among my favorites are: Grateful Dead, The Doors, Dispatch, Rusted Root but my absolute favorite is definitely the Dead.

Another hobby is art. I mostly enjoy drawing with charcoal but I also like sculpting, painting, and basically anything involving art. In my spare time I paint on my walls.. anything from grateful dead bears to andy warhol classics.. I just enjoy expressing myself like that. I also like to write. Poems, stories, letters, and definitely persuasive pieces!

I also like swimming, chilling at the beach or the river and toking up with some close friends and talking.. more than anything being with my friends is great.

(how many can you think of?) sixteen on jan 30 so definatly excited for ... 10 days and counting, uh what to put i love music mainly... i have at least a slight interest in almost all types of music very into all jam rock and whatnot went to an Allman Brothers Concert this summer , probably the most amazing thing in my life. I play guitar myself been playin for about a year now, uhh i also love to read, something that i see is declining in popularity these days .... sad. anyone here who has read any Richard Bach? good stuff anyways thats all i got for now hoping to get into more of the threads finally a messageboard site that i can relate to

Hi, so my name is Jill and I live in westchester county new york. I have lived here for about six years and I think it's wonderful. I live in a town called cross river where I am surrounded by trees which makes me very happy. I love going out on trails in the woods, and hanging out with my friends while we discover nature together. Many think it's strange that I consider myself a hippie because I do not do any kind of drug, but I dont think that is just what classifies someone as a hippie, I also really love horses, and camping. I dont go to school anymore because I want to move out of my house, so I am saving to get my own place, but if it doesnt work out, I'll either move to the Zendrik farm, or another hippy community. My parents think I'm going through a movement and this isnt who I really am, but I have been this way since I was in sixth grade, and I dont think I'm going to change. My favorite bands are The grateful dead, phish, biscuits, string cheese, and Jimmy, jim, and Janis. So thats all I can think of.

 

Hey kids, my name's Rain and ironically, my last name happens to be Moore. . . which is vaguely exciting. I'm 5'8 and have lonnnnnnnngggg blonde hair and big blue eyes. I'm 16 and I live in Atlanta, GA though I spend the majority of my time down at this haven of peace and all eternal happiness which is commonley known as Little 5 Points. I love going to drum circles, long flowy skirts, nature, mushrrroooommmss, music of all kinds but especially the jam bands and then of course the older stuff, I also love rocklibing and hiking or basically anything that involves being out in nature, I love painting and sketching, vegan oatmeal and cream cookies from sevenanda, insence, dancing with abandon, concerts, snow, cuddling with anybody cuddly, and on the other end of the spectrum, oppressing the ignorance imposed on me at catholic high school, resisting the dictatorship that is rising in our country and the ignorant dictator (Bush), standing up for the rights of every human and animal and tree alike and doing what I can to try and help preserve those rights. And of course I love the rain!

Hello, I'm Cynthia. But here, I am Purple, I am also called Cindy, Chi-Chi, Princess, Lizard Queen, Shindy, dirty hippy, flower child, and I have also (which was weirdly brought to my attention by Sage Phoenix and Peace Phoenix) been White-Phoenix and knew Rainbow (not sure if it was the same Phoenix clan and probably not). Anyway, I am 18 years old. I've had quite an exciting life. My mom died in '95, I moved in with my big bro, was abused by his ex wife, I was diagnosed with deppression, he got a divorce after five years, I went to jail, and then I got back into the light where I should have stayed in the first place. ( if you want to know my entire past, just ask me later with a PM).
Since my bro was in the army I traveled alot. I lived in North Carolina, Georgia, and Germany, and I've been to Amsterdam Holland, Paris France, Bevaria, Austria, South Carolina, Washington D.C, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Michigan, and Toronto Canada.
I've made lots of great friends, had lots of good times and bad times, learned alot of stuff, saw alot of places, even picked up a few German words.
My favorite colors are blue, green, and purple

My favorite animals are lizards,horses,dogs,buffalo, and frogs

My favorite music is rock, and I like all the varieties (except for the majority of the new metal which is just violent and too vulgar)

I consider myself to have no religion although I do own a copy of the Book of Mormon because I believe in other things such as Zen Buddhism, Hinduism, Wicca, and various native American beliefs.

I am for the most part against alot of laws in the US and the way the government is run, but I am not too anarchist (I used to be though). I find myself just standing my ground nowadays, except for protesting for good causes, and right now is a highly appropriate time.

What do I do for fun? I like laying on my bed and listening to music while I burn an incense, and on occasion I'll play video games (adventures and RPG's mostly. I love Mario, Sonic, and Final Fatasy games the most). I also enjoy just staring out my window at the back yard, petting my dog, feeding my skink, reading, writing, singing, and doing art projects. I hardly ever watch t.v anymore, but when I do, I watch cartoons, and National Geographic. If I watch movies, I usually watch disney movies, comedies, and an occasional thriller.

My spiritual excersizes include practical meditation, astral projection (tripping in other words), invoking and summoning spirits, and telepathy. I'm also loking into new excercizes to help me understand the univeres, as I plan on taking LSD as a family with my dear sweetie pie in the new future. I have to teach him how to open the doors naturally, but our telepathic bonding is growing stronger.

im new here and im really glad i found this place erm.. a little about myself..lesse..well my names alicia and im not sure what i put down as how old i am but im really 15 (i just don't like the idea of broadcasting my age too much cause im paranoid ). for my 15th birthday i got my dreadsies that i love very much.i live in the suburbs in c.a. and managed to go to one of the most conservative highschools in the district thatll teach me to think things through i guess.. umm..a few of my favorite bands are the beatles, weezer, franz ferdinand, the coral, and it goes on and on..im not any religion, nor do i believe in a god, but im still very interested in spirituallity, buddhism in particular..oh and im a supporter for a free tibet..im not really sure what i want to do with my future yet but im very interested in holistic medicine and want to look further into it..guess thats about all i'll stop taking up space now. have a lovely day
